Don't be so quick to dismiss the notion that film has any potential beyond art and amusement. Besides, if you want over-analytical, check out most Tarantino fans - fuck, it's a movie that tried to make you care about what was going onwhile shoehorning in worthless scenes of brutality involving completely extraneous characters, not to mention other miscellaneous (and infinitely more baffling) shit like a five-second take of Goebbels railing some chick.

Consciously, no, they're not going to believe that Hitler and the Gang were destroyed by a small band of Jews, but they will certainly believe this almost comic-book villain portrayal of Goebbels and, to a lesser extent, Hitler.
