Why don't you look up the most recent y-chromosome analyses of Ashkenzi Jewish populations - you'll find that their origin is indeed Middle Eastern and mostly Middle Eastern despite their 80+ generations in exile. Also, even if European Jews are not of semitic origin (which current DNA evidence shows that they indeed more closely related to other Middle Easterners than Europeans), that would probably make them Turkic - not Mongoloid.

For starters, the major know studies weren't done "At the U of Jerusalem"...The most authoritative study on the issue was published in a peer-reviewed medical journal - The American Journal of Human Genetics (It would be quite the accomplish if all the researchers peers in genetics and medicine just so happened to be Zionists). The researchers were from Germany, Israel and India and the genetic analysis was conducted at Universities in all 3 countries.

Yiddish demonstrates also no Turkic traits whatsoever - for a people supposedly descended from Khazars, you would think there would be some remnant of the language. There isn't. Yiddish, however, as I said is written in the Aramaic alphabet (now commonly called the Hebrew alphabet) and the Yiddish language retains small features of Aramaic and Hebrew - suggesting that the Jewish people who moved into Europe were Aramaic speakers - the lingua franca of the Middle East at the time.
