This super-simplification of 'good-guy, bad-guy' the army uses to sanitize the vicious, brutal killing in Afghanistan (and Iraq, and now Pakistan also) and neutralize the moral issue of indiscriminate murder and maiming of civilians is beyond obscene -- its a huge evil reflecting the hypocrisy and malaise of America's foreign policy and its chronic addiction to war profits.

Solution: today change your registration to the Green Party and mail a copy of your new voter registration to the Demo. National Committee and tell 'em you'll vote against ALL Democrats in the next election, unless the Dems stop the economic depression and loss of our civil rights, by ending both wars by the end of 2009. Anyone with a better solution to prevent economic disaster at home? Don't worry Obama and the Demos will do ANYTHING, even the right thing, to keep their cushy jobs. Bravo JS!

Interesting point. I'm betting that if enough people tell the Democratic National Committee + the media that they've changed their registration & will vote against ALL democrats if the US does not withdraw from both Iraq and Afghanistan by the end of the year, the Democrats will do the right thing to save their cushy jobs. Everyone is free to vote for any candidate in general elections no matter how they are registered.

I agree, i voted for the green party because i was not happy with bush or Kerry .... i do wish more 3rd part candidates would run, i don't feel like i throw my vote away but its going to be a challenge to convince others. i do think if the democrats don't do some of the things they promised like end the wars they are going to have a hard time running in 2012.

because that is why i voted for obama i want the wars to end, and it doesn't seem that's going to happen soon.
