You know when you have a song in your head but you cannot remember anything important about it. This was that song. All i remember was it was set in a diner. By chance I was listening to David Ford and had a look at his wikipedia and as soon as the name came up I remembered it. And for a song I haven't heard in years it sounds fantastic!
Wow this song leaves me at a loss for words. So beautiful! I've never heard this band before and I think they're wonderful. I mean if I could hear more music like this I'll feel more at peace w/ myself. Music nowadays...all this teen pop crap, and bands that are so overrated its useless to me. But this kind of music, especially british which I heart so much,is the kind that always render me speechless. I love Travis and Keane, and now this band as well as others I never heard are amazing!
@asia4ever1 I know you made this comment ages ago :)
But if you like this music and UK stuff in particular you should investigate 'the upper room's album - other people's problems. you would love it i'm sure. Please let me know what you think because it's my favourite album of all time! :D
@musicfrom2010 yeah I heard a few of their songs. "All Over This Town", "Combination"(I think), "Portrait", and "Black and White". I think they're pretty cool songs :) I like hearing different bands and different variety of music. Its refreshing! I especially like mellow songs...OMG songs like that speaks to me. But yeah the upper room is a cool band I like them :)
i heard david ford play this song live on a piano about 2 months ago! ive been looking for it for ages under his name, i didnt realise it was by easyworld. its an amazing song
yes jj72 like easyworld not very well understood. Though they did reach relative high success with their self titled album theres a lot that people dont get. He has quite a haunting quality to his voice and lyrics were amazing. Though i would have put godspeed you! black emperor if it wasnt for the fact that i think more people and critics think they were the founders of post rock (sigur ros and the like) so therefore i thought it fitting to be number 3.
While I don't anticipate getting married any time in the future, as soon as I heard this song years ago my first thought was that when/if I ever get married the wife can plan everything EXCEPT that this song must be a part of it. Even told Dave when he came through LA a year ago just how much Easyworld meant and still means to me.
Made a good first dance for me and my wife. You should use it when you get around to tying off the not. Short, sweet, and has that nice break in the middle if, like us, the rest of the dorks in dresses and tuxes have to join in partway thru the song.
I first heard this song, when they supported toploader in brighton about 4-5 yrs ago, Loved it back then, and played it at our wedding all these yrs later
They're amazing I saw them supporting at a toploader gig before they were really known, its such a shame that they never got to be big, they really are soo good!
Excellent band. Saw them twice-Glasgow and Edinburgh, both were brilliant gigs. Very disappointed that they broke up pretty much as I discovered them. Just love LTLR album.
Haha hello Ed. How very unsurprising to find you commenting here of all places :p yeah the 'world were always wonderful live. I really do miss them, the last time I saw them when they played Bristol Louisiana was a great night. Kill The Last Romantic in particular is such an under-rated album it's untrue.
Just amazing. i miss all that potential, and miss all those amazing live performances. In my opinion will go down as the most underrated band this country's ever produced
any1 know where i can find sheet music for this piece?
