@deejin25 You talk like a dreamer. Have you ever herd of NO PAIN, NO GAIN? The whole purpose is let them feel the strike so they would understand how it is deliver and know what painful effect the strike product. Also it is controlled, The full speed , fully contact will rupture the flow of blood, stung the nerves, even cripples a person, that is not being done here. What you saw is just an control demo not a real strike! My guest is you never have learn iron shirt a part of kenpo.
@serbsmight This is an excellent opportunity for me to tell people to go to my page and check out my iron body skills introductory level videos, my power generation videos, the body dynamics videos and the various technique tutorials. Thanks for the forum! :)
@232323C Yes and as you can see by his reply which got personal really quick, he's quite defensive about it. Well, that's okay, with the internet many students can see alternative ways of training and leave the abusive instructors with poor control alone. The knowledge is out there for the taking, and if you want to do full contact you can get safety equipment and spar full contact, but be advised, the opponents hit back, not like the stationary students shown here.
@deejin25 yea, they tend to hit back in street fights too...thats the real deal.. been there many times...I was ok with this guy till the last sequence/technique where he hit his student with an "elbow" in the face with not full force but too much force as was shown by uke's pain response and falling backward. To me thats 1 of two things...1. lack of control OR 2. being a bigshot bully. or both.
@232323C It's interesting (and sad) because these guys who smash their students around usually don't pad up, find people of equal weight and experience and fight with full contact, dealing with punches to the face coming at the, leg kicks, chokes and the possibility of concussion. I think having a live opponent who is trained and wiling to hit back scares them off.
vamos, un simple teisho, no? pensé que había más misterio detrás, es que yo hago karate, no kenpo karate :-P por qué no un enpi a la cara? duele más...
If you strike your students often and hard in training you don't look cool, you like like you either have no control or no judgement.

con que se golpea exactamente cuando se ejecuta el golpe de garra? que ventajas tiene?
salvamg89 5 years ago
ya lo explica, con la palma o base de la mano, creo que la ventaja es evidente, es un golpe bastante contundente no crees? un saludo
