mate either ur PVR's laser is burning out or its because your TV cant capture the game because its got the latest software and the pvr cant capture properly because of it.
I dont know if this is the problem for sure, or if you've figured it out. But i know recording for long periods of time can make devices like that not work as they are intented too
I said this on BTs missing video. When you check on him you need to take all his recoding equipment and start making videos again! Oh,and the poke blue ditto story is the best holloween story EVER. True or not :/
I don't know much about PVR's, but if I had one and that happened I'd start by trying it with a different Xbox, TV, and computer. That way you can see if you have a faulty PVR or if it's something else. I hope you get it fixed soon, because I really enjoy your videos.
Don't know how to help you any, not experienced with HD PVR's, Although here's a suggestion, You do a 24 hour gaming marathon on a live streaming website like twitch tv, and get donations towards a new HD pvr!
You tried replacing the cable/ports? I can bet you any money that you've broke it by going over the cable with your chair (I do it all the times). The disconnection thing is just what the PVR does - just try it again and it should be fine.
I don't know much but I'm just wondering why do you have set on PS3, I'm not saying that could be the because it's not but with my luck I have had more stupid reasons then clicking from PS3 to Xbox, but best of luck to you and I hate to say this but I think worst case is that you would have to buy a new HDPVR
I would say your Haupauge is creating interference, when its plugged into your pc. That sounds like a defect to me, has it always been this way, or is this glitch gremlin only happening recently?
@DogtownRaptorVideos I do have two USB ports in the front, and like 4 on the back of my computer... I'll look into the isolator and all that if you think it would help.
I would skip the USB extension and just go with hooking up the PVR right to the PC. Seems like the signal is having issue transferring from the standard USB cable to the extension.
yea seems like its the usb cable try a new one or the one it came with also try turning the PVR off and on when its not plugged into the pc I've had the same thing happen to me and if it is the PVR all together call up hauppague they'll hook you up with the newest model i got a new one from them when a storm fried mine
Well, is the way Blametruth records possible for you? (I don't know his method but perhaps he can help you out and even add in some money for you to pay for it)
Wow, that happened to me yesterday except there wasn't anything wrong with the TV, it's just my computer didn't recognize the PVR. All I did was turn the PVR off and then back on and that solved it.
I think the main issue is with the USB Extension cable. I have my picture constantly through my PVR as well (Unless I'm recording PS3 of course) and whenever I've used an extension cable my PVR has had the same issues, and is just very finicky, if it works at all. I have no idea why that would be the case, but I'd suggest just using the Standard USB connection from the PVR directly to the PC. Seems like a hassle though. :(
Also, if you are in need of some Gears gameplay for whatever reason, hit me up. I've got some stacked up and I wont use them myself 'cause I suck at commentaries. :P
I would delete all the usb drivers and reinstal the pvr drivers. sometimes when you have too many devices being plugged in and out of a usb port or when you use multiple usb ports for the same device, you get connection issues. similar recognizine and unrecognizing problems would occur with my external harddrive. hope it helps.
@demonbomb102 i really miss your paper mario play through i know that you lost the data but it would be awesome if you could do that again :) i really enjoyed it
those lines gradually going up the the top of the screen, means that it's in progressive mode. Basically 720p (p for progressive) try changing the resolution to 1080i and see if that helps
@Grafiqall I'm starting to feel like the lines going up the screen mean that there's some serious wiring issue in my room and it's not getting the power it needs. On top of the lines, there's a humming/buzzing noise.
@demonbomb102 if you have a wired mic, like turtlebeaches, and your controller is buzzing when you have a play & charge kit in, could it be something like that? I'm guessing you've checked all your connections? try plugging the pvr into a different socket in the wall? get some new cables? im not sure
@Grafiqall Yeah, I've tried different outlets/checking the cables and whatnot. My brother, of course, has my Xbox right now so I can't really test too much, but hopefully I'll get it back before tonight.
My Dazzle did the same thing. The recorded footage was okay, but the quality on my TV screen was nearly unplayable. Then the disconnecting problems started. I never figured out why.
@SubZeroFalcon I'm going to try that right now. As it stands, I have to use a USB extension cable, so I might try to wheel it over and see if it does this without it.
@demonbomb102 I absolutely cannot wait for your PVR to get fixed, and if it doesnt work, im pretty sure me and many of your other loyal subscribers would love to donate enough money to get another PVR!
It could be your outlet or wiring, and it just cant pull enough power to show it. But, I dont have one so can really tell.

I have the same issue.
Im using a mac and I know its not the USB. All I do though is reset the pvr on the silver/blue button on the front, and all is well once again.
It may be a grounding issues, have you got another USB port on another part of your PC?
Maybe you'd need a new ground loop isolator, or grab another USB and cut the ground out yourself.
Sorry I can't help much more than that, but Im almost certain that's the issue mate.
DogtownRaptorVideos 4 months ago

demonbomb102 4 months ago
@demonbomb102 I can't see it being anything else other than poor grounding.
Other than switching the ports, swapping out the USB cable for another one with a cut ground is the only cheap(ish) alternative.
I dunno how much the isolators are in the for you, but in the UK they aint cheap bud, so strictly worst case scenario with that one.
Really sorry this is happening man, I loved your videos.
Hope this passes soon and you get a fix for it.
