Im so sorry I lost my currents cats brother to kidney failure. I give his brother 400mls of subQ lactated ringers injection every day he is doing great. This is a from of dialysis for cats and or dogs. Its not that expensive but vets dont want to let us do it cause they can charge a lot for it. I am very sorry about Shiva. You must have taken such good care of her for her to have lived such a long life. My Siamese cat died more than 20 years ago and I still cry when see pictures of her. They are such a source of joy to us but when they die it is too sorrowful. I loved this video because your cat's voice reminded me of my cat. I only wish I had a video like this. It's great.

It is quite rare for a cat to live to such an age, comparing to other home cats ofc.

My cat is almost 18 as well, I doubt it will live through this winter tho. She's deaf and I think that her fur started dwindling.

Awww...I'm soooooo sorry!!! At least she was loved and she brought you happiness. That's a long time for a cat, 18 years. I was watching the news one day about this hurricane in Florida. They interviewed this old lady who rode out the storm in her bathtub with her Siamese cat who was 27 years old. Can you believe that? Beautiful cat!!!!!

My beloved, Spike, (the most wonderful individual I ever met) lived with me for 18 years and passed away with renal failure. He was such a kind soul. It was 15 years ago, and I still miss him terribly. His brother, KJ, who lived to be 21 (and died a year after him w/same problem) was also very dear.

I would have done ANYTHING to have kept them alive.

Poor Shiva! She reminds me of my old Maine coon whose name is hard to pronounce.He died of a heart attack some how.We don't know. But he had a really good life, and I bet Shiva did to.
