205 gti is a proper drivers car. Who cares what the car hasn't got! Airbags!? I actually prefer it over my 306 gti. Which is why I'm getting another one..

@stitcha123 sorry mate but everytime any magazine does a "100 greatest drivers cars ever in the whole wide world" article, the 205 is 9/10 in the top 20, i respect the r5gtt but ive never seen it make any lists.

@mangaloveFTW it does make a few. Having owned 2examples of both I would say the Renault 5gtt is FAR more fun to drive. The thing is with magazine lists, it tends to be quite clinical. The 205 is BRILLIANT, and would be fantastic is you reeeeeeeeeeeeeally knew what you were doing drivingwise. But for your average driver, thrills per £, turbocharged, 1.4 legend is for me, the more fun. Thing is, just ask the owners, the 205 driver enjoy their cars, but the 5'ers LOVE theirs. you driven either?

@mangaloveFTW lol, and the fact it doesnt make the 'magazine lists' doesnt really bother me. I rely on my own experiences to decide what I feel was/is good in a car, as I drive them. Owned a Clio Williams too, which AAAAAAAAAAALWAYS makes a top ten spot on drivers cars. But frankly? Theyre a bit boring. A std Scooby is probably alot more fun, but Clios look cooler. Drivers Car lists are pointless. Interesting, but pointless. The Renault 5 gt turbo has legendary status now really,

@stitcha123 well as i said i respect all of the cars massively. ive driven a williams and it is gutsier than my 1.9. but in the 205 i just feel absolutelly cocooned in it! ive also got an mi16 track car aswell that i have on the road and thats just the most glorious fun, its literally a go kart. my dad used to have a standard turbo 2000 impreza and it was fun, but i just love the 205. because everytime i get out of it i feel like ari vatenen.

Such a great car the 205 !! In Spain it was also released in a more modest version, the GTX 1.6 95 hp (carb) since at the time not everyone could afford the GTI version (my case, for example) ;-) but was fast enough to beat the s... out of so many modern cars.

@Virtuoso883 I wouldn't want them too, they would ruin it. They'd just make it weight 2 tonn mostly being filled with aload of shit. Problem with car makers is they try and re make their old models or make a car similar and they fail miserably because modern cars are all the same computerised shit that you can't tune and all the safety shit makes them no fun. Personally I prefer cars that you drive, not cars that drive you.
