  • awesome video but if you dont mind me asking where did you get the non fluid oil

  • I see you dont use a gas cylinder wrench.

  • Nicely shown, and very useful to a new Garand owner. Thank you.

  • 0:53 i love that sound!

  • @dumcrapcat not if you are shooting at something that is shooting back! but in normal situations as almost as sexy as the sound a shovel makes when smacking a zombie in the head=D

  • @vampire847 i say that depends if they know your shooting a garand at them.

  • Indefinitely the best battle implement ever devised!

  • always been in love with this gun. 2 more yrs till i can legally own one

  • @fkhan96 yeah that goes for me too. cant wait

  • my grandfather recently passed away and in his will he left me his m1 garand and my younger cousin his m1 carbine. he smuggled his m1 garand home from korea after he was shipped home from the war and now i get it. i will probably pass it on to my son and him to his son and so on. i feel honored to own such a great piece of american history. every time i shoot that m1 garand i will think of my grandfather.

  • @rendered321 Wow! That is so cool that your grandfather keep his old M1 from the Korean War! That gun probably saved his life more then once I'll bet. I recently got my own M1 from the CMP and it was manufactured in 1945. I love that weapon, it truly is the greatest battle implement ever devised!

  • As a first time owner it would have helped if you said and showed which way certain parts went in since they have to go a specific way. What is the side of the bullet guide and spring mechanism that goes up or down when re-assembled just as an example.

  • I have to disagree. You cover some of your actions with your hands. For a first timer trying to learn this only helps a little.

  • Very helpfull m8 thnx !

  • 00:53 *jizz jizz jizz jizz jiiizzzz*!!!! I have made it a goal in life for me to own a M1 Garand. I will reach that goal someday soon. Awesome video!

  • @SRH1092213111 i am getting my dads someday, you can get a nice shooter for about 750 bucks

  • is that a maple colored stock or oak it looks pretty nice

  • that rifle looks like it has a nice stock to receiver fit. does it shoot well?

  • Great video and camera work. It has been over 45 years since I took one apart and my daughter now owns one. I could not remember the process to take it apart. This helps tremenously.

  • thank you sir, youjust show me two ways to crank that gas plug without buying that all-in-one tool. What else has dual purpose here???

  • Thank God for the M1 Garand and thank you for posting this excellent vid! Nice work by your camera operator!

  • Nice M1 Garand.

  • Great vid. I hope you make one on the Steyr 95/30.

  • Great video!! Thanks for showing the removal of the gas tube! That sure is a pretty looking M1 you've got there.

  • best M1 field strip video i have seen camera man got right in there great work

    thanks for posting

  • I don't think that I've ever seen someone take apart the gas tube for a disassembly video. Thanks!
