@dumcrapcat not if you are shooting at something that is shooting back! but in normal situations as almost as sexy as the sound a shovel makes when smacking a zombie in the head=D
my grandfather recently passed away and in his will he left me his m1 garand and my younger cousin his m1 carbine. he smuggled his m1 garand home from korea after he was shipped home from the war and now i get it. i will probably pass it on to my son and him to his son and so on. i feel honored to own such a great piece of american history. every time i shoot that m1 garand i will think of my grandfather.
@rendered321 Wow! That is so cool that your grandfather keep his old M1 from the Korean War! That gun probably saved his life more then once I'll bet. I recently got my own M1 from the CMP and it was manufactured in 1945. I love that weapon, it truly is the greatest battle implement ever devised!
As a first time owner it would have helped if you said and showed which way certain parts went in since they have to go a specific way. What is the side of the bullet guide and spring mechanism that goes up or down when re-assembled just as an example.
Great video and camera work. It has been over 45 years since I took one apart and my daughter now owns one. I could not remember the process to take it apart. This helps tremenously.
awesome video but if you dont mind me asking where did you get the non fluid oil

I have to disagree. You cover some of your actions with your hands. For a first timer trying to learn this only helps a little.

I don't think that I've ever seen someone take apart the gas tube for a disassembly video. Thanks!
