Hiiii I Have a problem, can you help me? It hapens when I try to convert a video from .avi to .dpg , coz when i convert .mp4 to .dpg it converts very good.

the avi to DPG via Super or as the video will show; you will use Super to extract Just the Audio file as a

WAV. Then you can use BatchDPG and select avi as video source, then the WAV file as the audio source.

How long is video? I have noticed the longer file 30+ min the more chance the audio will de-sync. When I do a film (divx) I will use vdub and edit it to 20min segments.

well it can encode the video, only porb. will be is if it has subtitles.

the subtitles will no encode and show up in DPG file. If you can find a Hard subbed version (mostly divx version) then it would work, but I think the text might be small to read at DS screen size 256x192

hey when try 2 convert all i get is a msg saying

@Zapdos1029 One option, use program SUPER and try to use that to convert to DPG. Only other thing you can do would be to Re-encode your video to another file format. I find AVI works best, then convert that to DPG w/ Batchdpg. srsly give SUPER a try 1st. Let me know if it works.

Dude, I have AviSynth and all, I selected my OutPut Directory and settings and everything, then I selected the video file, added it to the list and pressed "Run", but then, a splitsecond after it flashes "Transcoding Audio 0%", BatchDPG closes.

These are only 2 things I can think of that could be missing or causing this.

As an alternative you may want to try program

You may need to press Browse button on OutPut to set a location / folder where your dpg files will go.

K-lite codec pack. It will have ffdshow along with

Try upgrading or checking to see if there is a newer version of your codecs. For aspect. easy method is try Super and see if you have any prob. there. You could also try re-cutting the film/clip in Virtual dub then try to re-encode that on batchdpg. Seem a bit more work but worth a shot.

depends on which version of R4 you have. I have the original (old). that one is limited to 2gb. Some other company sells "r4 New" that have HC high capacity on the box but is not official r4 but claim to support 4gb and beyond. One I know for sure that supports HC is another brand called Edge DS. I have 4gb HC card in that one and works fine.

no, that other video is for the rare occasion when BatchDPG fails to convert during the Audio stage. If it does, then you can use Super (my other video) to convert the audio to a WAV file, then use that when converting in BatchDPG.

I have had this happen also, with eps of weeds.

I think it could be an issue with length of file. Most of the files I do are 20-30min long and play fine 90% of time. Are you familiar with Virtual Dub? If so try splitting the movie into 20 or 30min files and see if you get better results. Prob. just sample of 1st 30min. google Virtualdub MP3 Freeze to find the program. Search for youtube user Rami994 for video on how to cut video files in Virtual dub (v-dub)

I've set up everything like in your video, but every time I try to convert something, an error message comes up with:

The file works fine in VLC.

I have run into this prob. 1 or 2 times, video was fine but would get that error msg.

If on a windows machine. Could you try media player.

Start--Run--TYPE wmplayer , then OK button.

If it does not play there, then your video file is incomplete. VLC will play incomplete files fine. If it does play, then it could be something else. So I would then recommend you get SUPER.

Yeah, seems they added a bit to ffdshow. I have a old copy hat just would do a straight install.

I would say keep the default install settings. Width will always be 256. the Height will be 192 if its standard def. if its wide screen / letter box, set the height to 144.

Quick option would be to try program called Super. Link in about this video. benny21293 has a guide. The only time I have had error about audio was when a clip I was trying to convert did not have any audio track to begin with. I', gussing your does. You could try to rip the audio then re-encode just the audio then Mux them back to gether. Too much work. So try Super 1st. let me know how it goes.

Only two times I got this error. The video I wanted to convert had no audio. 2nd time not clear on what caused it. You could also try using Super to re-encode just the audio then (if its avi file) use virtual dub to join the video with new audio then re-encode to DPG. or like skip all that and use Super to encode to DPG. cant say, there is no change log file to

see what changed or improved between the two

version. Tryed looking onlione but all I can find is up to version 1.0.0. If you converted to avi and embed the subtitle to avi then it

should work. The key would be to increase the the subs in terms of  display size, since the final file will measure 256 wide x 192 high. So you could end up with subs that are too small to read. :P But hey, if you get it to working plz let us know :)

If you have 512mb ram or more then you should be ok with SUPER.

for those getting that error message, the file must be in avi if you're converting it to dpg. videos from youtube would be in flv format. use sumthing like total video converter to first change it to avi.

Hard to say what the source of probleme could be. Only time I got an error encoding was when a video I wanted to convert did not have any Audio. In the my 2nd video In SUPER program where you see I choose WAV option, in that menu scroll down further and you will see Nintendo DS/DPG option.

C:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER\OutPut

-Open My Computer

-Open (c:)

-Go to Program Files

-Then to SUPER

-Open OutPut, Your file should be there.

Do you have the settins exactly like the one in the video? I have never had a prob. or error asking to manualy set the height and width. Maybe try SUPER Program to encode to DPG.

Yeah its a horrible design. Use Internet exploror.

Go to link. at 1st screen. scroll all the way to bottom and lick on "Start Downloading SUPER"

At 2nd screen click on "download and use"

On the 3rd screen scroll all way to bottom. Wait for 20-30 secs and a link will appear called "Download SUPER © setup file"

If could be that the audio on the video is

something other than mp3/wav. You could try re-encoding just the audio to a wav then in the Batchdpg section for audio select the wav.

I added a link in about this video for program called SUPER you could do this. Recently the program has been updated (might need to use Internet explorer to download) and it has a DS

Profile to encode to DPG. Maybe Try encoding using super 1st and if the result are not good, then try what I mentioned above with re-encoding the audio to wav. Good Luck and let me know how it goes.
