I watched IT when i was 10 years old and it shitted me up badly as the concept of thinking about the clown just going after kids only, eating and terrorizing them felt really creepy and knowing they had no one to turn to because the adults couldnt see what the kids saw made me think of the cry wolf story a little.but the bathroom scene with the balloon(you'll die if you try beverly) fucked my head up bigstyle as when i watched the movie straight after i had a massive nose bleed in the sink
Think Jaws will always have that effect on people. I think if you have ever seen this film it will always haunt you when you get into the water even swimming Pools i get that feeling too! hahaha Duuu Du Duuu Du dum dum dum the music was an absolute killer piece too!
Stephen King's IT scared me pretty badly, and also Im not sure which sequel it was but I think one of the Night of the Demons movies kinda had me rattled.
What about Watership Down? Tell me that does not scare the shit out of everyone here as a kid! I mean rabbits getting buried alive and gassed, rabid dogs tearing rabbits apart. God I can go on with that movie! o_e
When i was a young lad, between 3-8 years old. I was scared of...Return to Oz, a dream sequence from The Boy Who Could Fly, Ghosthouse (1988), All those mirrors and certain other things in Poltergeist 3, The shower scene in The Funhouse (1981), Poltergeist, The Hitchhiker (TV series), Fright Night (1985), Night of the Creeps, The Blob, Those psychedelic scenes from Altered States (esp. the ending), The Evil Dead, scenes from The Temple of Doom, and Gremlins. there might be more but thats all now
The scene with Seth Green in the boiler room with that werewolf. The scene where the little guy is in the showers. The scene where the kid gets pulled into the pipe folded.
dude u have a great collection n all... but i was wondering... what if dvds get replaced by Bluerays?? i thought about collecting dvds until I thought of this...
Chucky fucked me up, even a little now. I sometimes think a little doll with scars on its face will run out of the pitch black room and break my legs with a bat.
The rober thing happens to me scary robbers comming in my house! :( And fuck the clowns there evil! scary clowns if i see a clown i dont get near them! :(
That wolf thing in the NeverEnding Story scared me more than that flying dragon. I would always hide my face when it appeared.
Also I didn't like Gremlins when I was little, espeacially when the narrator said, "Cause you never can tell, there just might be a gremlin in your house." D:
'The Crate' segment in Creepshow. 'Fluffy' (as i later was told he was called) scared the shit out of me sooo bad, the next day for lunch I had tomato soup and I took one look at it and threw up...good times :)
Excorsict, Chainsaw massacre and many others) By the time i was 11, I was A MASSIVE fan of horror and had now moved onto older titles like frankenstein or night of living dead, then started watching the evil dead series, by the time i was 13, i was almost insane with the amount of horror movies ive watched and my horror collection now stands at 203 movies. God i love horror.
Here are some movies that scared the shit out of me as a kid; Ghostbusters (Those doglike creatures really freaked me out), The Goonie (I always used to look away when I saw Sloth's face, and the part when One-eyed Willie's skeleton appeared scared me as well), Big (The Fortune Teller Machine), and The Sandlot (The main thing that scared me was Squints's story of how the dog turned into the beast).
For me, the death of Bambi's mother in "Bambi", the entire movie of "Poltergeist", the Skeksis from "The Dark Crystal", the flying monkeys from "The Wizard of Oz", the gremlins from "Gremlins", Sid's room from "Toy Story", and the tunnel scene from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" scared me when I was little.
Ernest Scared Stupid. That troll scared the hell outta me when I was a kid. haha When the girl turns around in her bed, and the troll is laying with her, and then starts growling... Creepy shit for a 5 year old!
That scene from the Witches also scared the shit out of me... I remember renting it from blockbuster and then getting to that scene and taking it right out of the VCR haha.
@leopardgecko1231 IT didnt scare me one bit, i'll tell you what did freak me out, is insidious, thats the only horror movie ive seen that freaked me out
the only movie i have the freaks me out i can watch the rest of it expect for the first 3 mins of childs play 3 when he gets made and screams at u freaked me out still does
@royalnaz1 If no film can scare you then you've got no imagination whatsoever (or you're just watching the wrong movies). It's a basic function of the human mind to experience fear and age has nothing to do with it.
anything with ghosts. i saw the haunting as a kid its a show. used to watch it on tv. shit started happening to me and it was scary now any ghost show i watch im paranoid ittll happen again >.>
coolduder i have the same feeling about the beach and the sea because of Jaws but i like that movie i am going to buy 2 3 and jaws Revenge hey how about you make a review about Giant monster Movies i want to hear what Giant monster movies which you think the best or Bad oh and watch me transformers Dark of the moon Movie Review and say what you think of it
Here's a bit of movie trivia for you. Actress Glenn Close played the pirate in HOOK who got scorpians thrown on him that scared you as a kid. They made Glenn Close look like an old man so she could play that role.
For some reason I could watch A Nightmare on Elm Street movies and Friday the 13th movies but the Child's Play movies always scared the shit out of me.
I have paranoids too, and every fucking time I take a shower I see pennywise watching me from sauna ( it's place you go to get really warm'd up, and yes i'm from Finland suckers )
I like the Baltimore accent. I can hear it every once in a while........ Fucking cool man. I bet Baltimore is cool. Nice collection also man...............
I saw Pet Sematary when I was 10 and the only moment that gave me chills was during the flashback scene of young Rachel witnessing her sister Zelda's death. When Zelda's head did like Linda Blair's in The Exorcist, and the close-up of her spine practically being perforated through her skin and Zelda practically coughing up a lung scared the hell out of me. That's the only moment from a horror movie that scared me when I was younger. And I used to be scared of Bigfoot in Harry and the Hendersons.
When I was a little girl I was so scared by the movie return to oz with fairuza balk.. The wheelers creeped me out, and also the scene when she ran in that room with all that heads and the body of the woman without the head tried to catch her! D:
When I was 9 someone told me about the Jamie Bulger murder and that FREAKED me out about Chucky, I'd never seen the films but in my head he wasn't just a possesed doll he was some kind of demon that controlled people to murder and made me sick to my stomach at the thought of him. He completely ruined a whole 2 years of my life before I accidentaly saw 'Bride of Chucky' and realised how funny it is- it all sounds stupid I know but I felt like I was carrying the murders' guilt and I was terrified
The First thing that scared me was a soap opera called "Edge of Night" a women is in the city sleeping and dreaming about her past when she was vacation in the jungle and a jungle man was chasing her with a spear... she wakes up from the nightmare, wakes up and then walks to her bedroom door opens it and the jungle man was standing there in her house!!! I threw up everywhere!!!! :)
The First Movie that scared me was "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things" made in 1973? 1974? :)
@Wolfmeister123 The little girl (witch is the main character) died with i believe some sort of illness out of no where but she finished the last poltergeist before she died another girl got i believe strangled to death by an Ex & someone else died but i can't remember at this moment.......Everyone says its a curse but idk it's creepy though.
cool duder E.T. the two first scene when you first saw E.T. running with wierd song and glowing red and the when he make the garbage fall that thing was scary as hell !!!!
also people under the stairs the sick history of the house & all the ppl who all tried to escape from it & failed was creepy thought. USA "The hitchickers" tv show (i think) intro theme at nighttime back in the 90's sounded lonely & dark unknown cowboyish theme too, & the "unsolved mysteris" theme every time the show ended had me creeped out wondering about death & where those ppl were & thinking it could happen , & night of the deamon's (original) "hull house" history
Yeah little monsters freaked me out too that was a pretty demented child flick as far as setting & costumes!. & "The Gate" scared me.. The tales form the crypt intro mansion scared me always watching the camera go down into the basement lol.. nightmare on elm street always scared me 24/7 with lights off cuz freddy's domain in the dreams were so scary & creative where he'd trap teens, the 1-2 he's coming for you chant oozed atmosphere alone.. also "flowers in the attic" creepy huge mansion
I remember squirming at my grandmas house during hook when they put the pirate in the box with scorpions. This was many many years ago, a childhood classic, I watched it not that long ago and as a more aged being, I still found it just as enthralling!
The movie that scared me to death when I was young was Friday the 13th. I was scared of death of Jason Voorhees and I always check my room before I go to sleep.
The scariest movie for me I think was The Thing(John Carpenter). The whole scene with the dogs that were locked in that kennel thing, that was just fucking gross, creepy and down right scary. The other scene where this guys head just rips itself away from his body and falls on the floor and starts growing spider like legs eeewww omg talk about creepy! I watched that movie(bits and peices) I think like once or twice and it creeped me out so bad that I can't stand to try and watch it the whole way.
Pet Sematary was a pretty good movie. The book was alot better. Really sad stuff. And I always thought there was something strangely beautiful about the ending. Also, Jaws scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. I didn't even want to sit in my bathtub I became that much of a pussy haha.
Scariest movies that made me have nightmare was/is:
IT and Aracnaphobia (i don't really know how to spell it xD) Aracnaphobia really messed me up, i'm still scared of spiders cuz of this. I saw it when i was about 5 or 6 and im 17 now xD
And i had nightmares for about 7 months because of IT i saw it when i was 6 or 7. Sorry for reposting this

But when i watched alien 1, 2 ,3 I was slowly starting to like horror (this was when i was 8, then i watched preadtor vs aliens at 9)
When i was 10, i saw my first ever slasher film: Friday the 13th

The First thing that scared me was a soap opera called "Edge of Night" a women is in the city sleeping and dreaming about her past when she was vacation in the jungle and a jungle man was chasing her with a spear... she wakes up from the nightmare, wakes up and then walks to her bedroom door opens it and the jungle man was standing there in her house!!! I threw up everywhere!!!! :)
The First Movie that scared me was "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things" made in 1973? 1974? :)

also people under the stairs the sick history of the house & all the ppl who all tried to escape from it & failed was creepy thought.

I watched that movie(bits and peices) I think like once or twice and it creeped me out so bad that I can't stand to try and watch it the whole way.
butterfly153239 11 months ago
Pet Sematary was a pretty good movie. The book was alot better. Really sad stuff. And I always thought there was something strangely beautiful about the ending. Also, Jaws scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. I didn't even want to sit in my bathtub I became that much of a pussy haha.
