@MrWerauchimmer The Scene your referring to was a mistake it seems. In the PAL version of the game the zombie falls down and his head stays intact. However the NTSC version has the zombies head being sliced off.

The gameplay as in all classic Resident Evil games is always 30 fps, however the door animations, and menu screens are all up to 60 fps. Thats why the fps goes up past 50 during doors and menus, and during the gameplay its always 30 :)

The PC ports of all their games are amazing. Especially RE2 and RE3. The graphics are waaaay better than any console version, and the PC Version of RE2 has Hard Mode. So Maybe the console ports are all the same, but the PC versions definitely are not

LOL look at rockman X7 for the pc, which is just the tip of the iceberg. that game is the worst port ever. but hey, im not exactly in the same boat as everyone. besides, I think SNK is probably the worst company when it comes to porting games(they include so many loading screens its ridiculous).

Just because a game is ported to a newer console than it was released doesnt mean that the developers need to make an entirely different remake of the game.

But RE 1, RE2 and RE 3 are not ports from the console versions, especially not dremacast since they were released before the DC even came out. like duh ?The only RE game that I know to be a port from a console is RE4 and it has terrible quality compared to Gamecube version without the Texture Mods.

@briafromxbox ok for RE1, you need to run Windows Media in the background while you play the game. This will usually make the game run at normal speeds. As for RE2, if you pick Claire and Leon shows up, then your copy of RE2 must be modified or corrupted in some way. If you can uninstall the game and reinsatll it form scratch, it should fix the problem, but my guess is that its modded in some way to change the skins of the characters.

@briafromxbox I dont know wat to tell you about the RE 2 thing. If you pick one character and get the other, that has something to do with the character files in the game. It isnt a glitch or anything that can be fixed using settings or anything. So I have no idea why thats happening to your copy. The only thing I could suggest doing is going to ur RE2 directory and Switching the PLO1 files for claire and leon. Those are the skins for them

@briafromxbox and yea the RE1 thing is a common problem with everyone trying to run the game in XP, Vista or Win 7. I know that trick works for XP,but it might not for Vista or Win7. I still havent got it to run slow on my Windows 7 either. Its always fast. It s a super old game though and was made for Win 95 so I can understand, but ur RE2 issue is wierd. Reinsatlling the game from scratch means its installing it perfectly as it was intended so there should be no errors. idk, u got me on that 1

The graphics on this game were and still look very good in comparison to RE1 and RE2, so I dont think a remake of this game is necessary at all. RE1 and RE2 are the ones in the series that need a modern update, and Im glad they remade RE1, hopefully we'll see a remake of RE2 cuz that one is much needed. But as far as this one being remade, it doesnt need it, and the PC version of RE3 has alot better graphics too, you should try that version out
