Denesmore is such a complete ass hole ...he could not even be considered a real Door. (he sadly is). He could not even be seated and interviewed with Ray and Bobby. does the movie put Morrison in a bad light? if it does it would explain why denesmore likes it.Jonny hated James. loser thought the Doors could replace Jim @ one time. Yeah anything to replace what Jim did. man is always an ass, only thing he said :How HE has some one else read jim's poetry,FUCK JON DENESMORE.lmao save your country!
congratulations on making one of the dumbest comments ever. The truth is Jim wouldnt have amounted to anything without ray, robbie, and john. Robbie wrote some of their most popular songs, like Light My Fire. And Jim did not arrange the music. They all needed each other.
I've been a huge fan of The Doors since I was 11, I'm 33 now, and I think the documentary was very good. If one were to delve into the full history of this incredible group, it would be hours and hours of footage and narration. The Doors accomplished more in 4-5 years than most bands do in a lifetime. I especially like the footage of Morrison driving and walking around in the desert, yes, it's the real Jim Morrison...so I thought that was cool. I also like that it shows a bit of Jim's humor.
Yup, I must concur. The Doors were an awesome band. But this documentary SUCKED balls! Lots of snippets of stuff but nothing meaty you could sink your teeth into. It was a MAJOR disappointment for long-time Doors fans. If you're new to the Doors, then you will enjoy it, certainly if you've never seen the footage before. But for long-time fans who have seen the footage, even the bits of new footage was nothing to scream about. Dicillo had too little to work with and came up with a mediocre doc.
fucking bullshit! I tuned in on june 06 and it showed it as being when youre strange but infact it was a full hour long show about carol burnett those nazi fucks at pbs
Just watched it. As a diehard Doors fan, it was nice to see some original footage, but all of the shots were thrown together fast, and their story was basically a cliff's notes version for the casual observer. In my estimation, it was the best 90 minute preview of a film, if that makes sense.
@TheThroney hey there dude. I like Densmore. He is a might fine drummer and part of all the elements that added up to the Doors being one of the greatest bands ever. But as you may know Densmore has fought with Robby and Ray a lot over the past few years over the use of various things including the right to perform under the name "The Doors". I just think it is sad is all. don't know who is to blame. Its their business. But that is why you won't see them together in any interviews for this doco.

One of the laziest, most uninspired documentaries ever made. Such mediocrity.

@cutis1000 well, that's your opinion. I respect it, but I do not agree with it. Personally I thought it was one of the best documentaries I've seen.
