@joznew1 I have gotten 65fpe with a 28.4g .22 pellet with an AR6. I have no stats on a .25 caliber Marauder. A chronograph and a gun vise will tell you what the Marauder will do. Also, results may vary because each air gun has its own personality.
I own one these rifles in australia. they take the semi auto feature out so you just cant keep pulling the trigger and shoot! cock back for every shot. another thing i cannot find 32g samyang/eun jin pellets anywhere in this country. love the riflle tho! it does well. I need help on that dirty harry?
I'm not a fan of the "Skirt First" loading. I guess with 200bar it would be unwise to load the pellets from the other side of the cylinder? Does the "Skirt First" method have a tendency to damage the pellets?
ok first off nice gun seems to have alot of power, second how much is the price tag on that puppy and last it looks like your yard is fenced in, what is beyond that fence?? if those pellets are going clean through the cedar and traveling beyond is there a house next to your yard?? was just curious
Harry, This is a TRUE repeater. I say this because all other guns I have seen that describe themselves as multishot repeaters always have a bolt action or lever cocking device (which often make them slower for your repeated fire than a break barrel!). Do you know of any other airguns that are true repeaters like this (ie semi auto)?
I just got an ar-4 have been using it for a while now with much sucess however lately when i try to refill it using the hand pumo that it came with its not taking the air and the pump just pressures up to the same as then gun then sticks the nano guage on the gun reads just over 10. any suggestions on how i can resolve this.
Thanks Harry! Your vids are just what I'm looking for. I have just begun my education on high quality air rifles, with an interest in the big bore variety. Your videos are most educational.
You are right about the accuracy tests... in my latest World Famous Dirt E. Harry Thrillers I am locking guns down in a gun vise to demonstrate accuracy- see the Dirt E. Harry & Dragon thrillers Parts 1 & 2 for example... more to come. Yes, you will probably never see a 60 ft/lbs Korean AR6 in the UK as long as you have the gun control laws that you have. But..... gun control works! Crimes are always committed with a registered gun owned by a law abiding citizen.... yeah right! Dirt E. Harry
cheers harry, i will check them out.. yeah the limit here is a shame, but ive grew up with it so its the norm really, 50 yards is normally the limit on live quarry here, 60 of a bipod maybe but weather conditions woud have to be perfect! most quarry is taken within 35 yards normally though..
ive just got myself a daystate, i will be doing a short review soon if you want to check it out.. have alook at my vids now best part of them are to do with airguns/hunting
thanks the only thing turning me away was the heavy trigger and rumors of the stock being cracked when delivered. (I was thinking more toward the AR6 anyway) Thanks, happy shooting!
does the AR6 come with the refil probe or do i have to buy one? also if im going to hunt small to medium game which one should i get the AR6 or the Renegade?
Forget velocity- with an air gun it is force (foot-pounds of energy). the lighter the pellet the faster it goes and the bigger the groups and the less penetration until you reach the magic pellet weight. the magic pellet is a 32 grain EunJin for the AR6 which gives 3mm groups, deepest penentration and has about 60 fpe in the 900fps range. so, I always ask... 1310fps with what pellet weight? In other words what weight pellet will go through the same hole over and over and over... Dirt
It must be a .223 barrel because it will take .223 bullets. yes i am sure that a silencer could be fit at the end of the barrel... the question is, who makes them- they are illegal in the US.
Please take another look at the Thriller... you see me using an AirHog Carbon Fiber tank to fill the AR6. Unfortunately you cannot use a compressor like one that you would use to fill your tires because tires only need 30 to 40 psi. The AR6 needs 3,000 psi. I show in more detail the AirHog in the Disco and Condor Thillers... Dirt
I know what you are thinking.... You might get enough in the AR6 for one shot... it has a big appetite for air. You could spend about half of the AirHog on a good hand pump... if you want to spend your time on the hard work of pumping instead of shooting. if you are going to play with the "big dogs" like an AR6, then you must step up to the plate and get serious- there is no cheap way. try your Paintball tank and you will see what i mean.... Dirt
Yes, there are 3 models or ratings- 60, 80 & 100. BUT, it also depends on the weight of the pellet. In an 80 joule model for example a 14 grain about 60- 65 joules, 28 grain about 70-75 joules and a 32 grain pellet... 80-85 joules. Most commonly the 80 joule version is imported into the US... Dirt
In some sites says that evanix ar6 of 80 joules give 1600FPS with 17gr. and Eun Jin 28gr. 1300-1380FPS???This is amazing result!! Whether is possible??Once again thanks!
That is blowing smoke! Besides, anything over 1125fps is useless because the pellet is breaking the speed of sound and will probably tumble. The lighter the pellet, the faster and the bigger the groups. For most of the AR6s I have tested the 32 grain EunJin is the magic pellet- highest energy, smallest groups- around 1/8" at 10 meters.... Dirt
Trigger pull is 5 lbs., but as you can see, I have no problem pulling it at the end of the triller- yes you need to have a firm grip. Power and perfomance YES! the wood work sometimes is a little rough. If you want a good work horse gun, get it and shoot 32 grain EunJins with a hair over 1/8" groups at 10 meters. They are in stock again... 5% off for you... Dirt
I know what you are thinking.... sorry, but an AR6 does have double action. i will have a Renegade here today that is going to Poland... but i am not going to make a thriller on it. I will test it to see what the power and accuracy is.... Dirt
Oke, I didn't know that. I like the AR6 because it is realy strong, but the renegade can shoot quicker. The AR6 is perfect for hunting on small animals. I have a Weihrauch HW90, that is a strong rifle too, but the AR6 is much stronger.
The Renegade is a lower power version of the AR6. The Condor is a single shot version of the AR6 with almost as much power. I can give you a discount on the AR6 & Renegade. AirForce will not let me give you a discount on the Condor. All dealers have to charge the same price for AirForce products.... Dirt
Just because it is made in the USA does not make it better.... this is now a world market. If you want a single shot, automatic safety and you don't care about knowing how much air is in the gun, go with a Condor. if you want to know how much air is in the gun at a given time and you want power and a six shot repeater without auto safety and the ability to shoot .223 bullets at 40 grains, go with an AR6... Dirt
hey harry, good stuff man, I just bought one myself and cant wait to go after some small game with it. I have one question though....can you tell me if one can purchase spare magazines/clips and if so where??
If you want a serious air rifle, then the AR6... it just depends on your purpose. the Hunter Extreme is a good rifle as well for it purpose. You will be tied to a bottle with the AR6... with the HE, it is self contained. The question you have to ask yourself is: what kind of power do i want?
hey harry which air gives the most power ,the co2,electric compressor, scuba tank,or hand pump? also is the ar6 .22 cal more powerful than the gamo hunter extreme .22 cal please let me know cause im doing my homework before buying a air gun
Hey Gmire00, A compressor, scuba tank and hand pump do the filling. CO2 gives you about half the power of a PCP. The AR6 is a PCP and will give you about twice the power of a Spring Piston like the Hunter Extreme. You can use 14 grain pellets in the HE, but you can put 14, 28,32 and 40 grain pellets through the AR6 and it will put the 32s and the 40s thru a 2x10. it is all about power- forget about velocity... anything over 1125fps is a waste because it exceeds the speed of sound... Dirt
Pellets don't have wings so they can fly all over the place after Mach 1. Drive a 16d nail with a regular hammer and it takes 3 to 4 hits... with a 10lb sledge hammer- one hit...
The 909 has a two way adjustable trigger and the Condor does not. The Condor has a 3lb. trigger pull- I would say they are close to the same. It is like comparing an apple and an orange... the 909 is a heavy weight and the Condor is a medium weight... Dirt
Anything over the speed of sound 1125fps is a waste because pellets don't have wings on them and will go all over the place. A 14 grain will do around 1200 fps... a 16 less. If you like the sonic boom and don't care about accuracy, try an 11, or 10, or 9 grain if you can find it.... the lighter, the faster.... Dirt
The AR6 shoots the pellets strait from the magazine,so it has GREAT overspend of air and very small difference of the pellets shape affects the accuracy.See the new Evanix model Blizzard is another thing,it has pusher, bolt action and the power of the AR6.
I've seen both positives and negatives written about Evanix AR6. One owner claimed that the accuracy is terrible. AirgunsofArizona also claims they lack accuracy but then Cronicash08 on youtube has a modified one with over 100ft/lbs 1480fps and in his videos he hits a target 150-200 yards away. So can't tell who's right.
Both are right.... it simply depends on the AR6. I have tested some lemons and tested some good ones. Very few lemons- many, many good ones... Dirt E. Harry
Hi dirt e harry with one air fill how many much shot do you get until the presure starts to drop( until velocity start to drop) thanks for your time , excellent video by the way 5 stars
i own a ar4 which is the .177 version of the ar6,man i tell u
the pwer of this gun is nothing what u will expect from an air rifle, it goes tru anything. im sorry nobody posted a video
with it it hunting medium game, this gun is overkill for small game,eg birds, squirrels . i wil be posting videos in one month ,waiting for season to open. Thanks dirt e harry
Yes! That is actually an out-house belonging to my neighbor Dirt E. Larry. He and I are cooking up a new video inspired by a scene from the Dead Pool... it will be called "Dirt E. Harry speaks from the Fortune Cookie".... coming soon to a Computer near you. You will love it!
1. Beautifully made review. I like the review structure. Have seen the other review of the SY 44 as well. Just awesome.
2. You might want to review other two 0.22 Korean powehouses viz. Career 707 and Sumatra 2500.
3. Unlike in the Sam Yang 44 review, the penetration test of the AR6 did'nt convey much. You might want to try it on a 2x4 ; you'll get the same results - complete passthroughs.
Thank you Sir!... You Made My Day! your comments on the AR6 are well taken and certainly something to consider on future suspense filled Dirt E. Harry thrillers. The more I test the AR6, the more impressed I become... Dirt E. Harry
Hi Dirty harry,
Is that your neightbours porch behind that cedar fence???
It occurs to me that you are so focused on safety, but you don't seem to care where the pellets go after they exit the wood.....

hey harry does the ar6 really get up to 1200-1400 fps on .22 cal with maybe say 16 grain lead?
gmire00 3 years ago
Anything over the speed of sound 1125fps is a waste because pellets don't have wings on them and will go all over the place. A 14 grain will do around 1200 fps... a 16 less. If you like the sonic boom and don't care about accuracy, try an 11, or 10, or 9 grain if you can find it.... the lighter, the faster.... Dirt

how to measure energy for a air rifle?
thanks!
miljan1983craig 3 years ago
Excuse me Dirt E. Harry who quality have Eun Jin, Evanix, Sam Yang and Shin Sung?? Whether justify there price? Salute!
bensendinac 3 years ago
Hi Bensendinac, I can get them all for you! Dirt E. Harry
1dirteharry 3 years ago
The AR6 shoots the pellets strait from the magazine,so it has GREAT overspend of air and very small difference of the pellets shape affects the accuracy.See the new Evanix model Blizzard is another thing,it has pusher, bolt action and the power of the AR6.

can you use a pump for this gun?
shamushi 3 years ago
Absolutely!
1dirteharry 3 years ago
so could u use an air compresser for putting air in the air line?
dragonice708 3 years ago
Carbon-fiber 4500psi tank is the best way to go. 106Cubic feet tank cost $480 without the hose and adaptors and regulator and around $600 with.
Hesam0000 3 years ago
how did u get those calculations?
dragonice708 3 years ago
The weight of the pellet multiplied by the velocity squared divided by the constant 450240 equals foot pounds of energy.
1dirteharry 3 years ago
I've seen both positives and negatives written about Evanix AR6. One owner claimed that the accuracy is terrible. AirgunsofArizona also claims they lack accuracy but then Cronicash08 on youtube has a modified one with over 100ft/lbs 1480fps and in his videos he hits a target 150-200 yards away. So can't tell who's right.
Hesam0000 3 years ago
Both are right.... it simply depends on the AR6. I have tested some lemons and tested some good ones. Very few lemons- many, many good ones... Dirt E. Harry

Hello !
Wanted to say three things :
Keep it up, sir! Waitin for the next one.
Best regards.

Thank you Sir!... You Made My Day! your comments on the AR6 are well taken and certainly something to consider on future suspense filled Dirt E. Harry thrillers. The more I test the AR6, the more impressed I become... Dirt E. Harry

2JZGTTTE 3 years ago
The AR6 just could be the most powerful .22 PCP rifle.... The pellet weighs 28.4 gr- see 7:25 to 8:20. You made my Day!... Dirt E. Harry

No Crapp, Just the Truth
What a nice Down to earth airgun review this is.
Outstanding because of the quality, close up shots, chonograph, and the way walking through in using the gun.
No need for a instruction manual anymore, just look at this review and that's all you need to know.
