Sickle cell disease has been known to the peoples of Africa for hundreds of years. In West Africa various ethnic groups gave the condtion different names: Ga tribe: chwechweechwe
wow and some think we'll be extinct due to plagues...if we mutate or evolve we may have a chance of survival especially due to global warming it will only bring about more flying insects and mosquitos. The question is who can evolve or mutate is it because of their surroundings, culture, food they digest?
I was actually thinking about this as an arguement against the creationist. Why would god create/design humans with a defence like this? Maybe I'll start working on that vid again. Great stuff!
Ya they have lots of holes in their "theories" and you don't see them doing the experiments that real scientist use to prove things. All they do is talk and it sounds crazy.

Michael Behe dedicated a couple chapters in his new book "the edge of evolution" to sickle cell and malaria drug resistance. He explains how mutations can cause the disease and resistance. Yet mutations are not able to provide the novel information to build molecular machines.

He will give us an infinite afterlife if somehow we manage to choose the correct one of 3 major Abrahamic religions and then choose the correct one of 30,000+ Xtian doctrines. Which we know because he'll tell us on the cosmic telephone that we chose correctly, just as he tells the followers of the other 29,999 doctrines.
