I hate to say this, because I fucking love this band, but their manager at the time (when they got signed to Chrysalis Records at the end of 1987) is on the record having said about the band, "there's only so far you can get with three junkies and one alcoholic." It's just a damn shame such a kick-ass band just couldn't seem to overcome their personal demons. The bassist Chris Schlosshardt died of a heroin overdose in 1991 and that was it...game over for the Sea Hags.
I actually prefer most of their other songs from their album over this. This one isn;t very catchy and I've never had stuck in my head or anything even after listening to it a lot. I wish they were able to release more singles before Schlosshardt died :-/
Those were the days HBB was a must. loved watching Ricki getting good-naturedly, goofed by every band that showed up. HBB takes its self way too damn serious these days and for no good reason.
One of my fave bands of ALL time. I heard of them from Ron Quintana (KUSF) and then heard their Think About it cover. Loved it. Then they came to LA where I was hanging one summer and they ROCKED!!!! "One lazy mother from the groovy 70's is the reason we are here tonight"!!!!!
met them years ago after seeing them play in uk great underated band i loved these guys, if any band members read this reform! come back to england, u all signed my beermat i will get u a beer
Chris Schlosshardt (not sure about spelling), bass player, od'd on smack.Drummer briefly looked like replacing Adler in GnR.Lead guitarist would up with Stephen Pearcy 1st in Arcade then in Pearcy's solo band.Singer Ron is still alive and I think he's still somewhat active in music circles.
I saw these guys in Phoenix way back in the day and ended up hanging out with them at their hotel all night. They are all really nice guys. I think we ended up playing poker or checkers or something. Hmmm, my memory is a little fuzzy. No hanky panky, though. They were true gentlemen.
San Francisco Bay Area fer sure. I saw them opening for Flipper in Long Beach in 1986 or 7 and playing with themselves at The Cave in Los Angeles a week or so later. Kicked ass. Too bad they couldn't control their drugs and alcohol.
I saw these guys at Swizzle's night club in York, PA. This and "Doghouse" were the only good songs they had and they knocked them out right away. They were also piss drunk. It was a real lousy-ass show.
Got this song on Ltd. Edition 7" single from the vinyl market last week haha. comes with a free patch aswell, that went on my cutoff straight away haha. awesome tune
HOLY CRAP! I grew up with Frank Wilsey the Guitarist on the left. We use to Jam in 6th grade circa 1979. He use to bring his guitar to school and rock out like a bad ass fucker! He was known as Joe Perry Jr! I remember a band he played in called Head On. He still looks the same after all these years! What's up Frank?
We opened for them in San Jose back in the mid 80,s great band. I can't remember which guitar player it was but one of em broke a string before they went on and didn't have another one and ask me for the one off my guitar. I remember thinking at the time how odd it was for a signed band to not have extra strings.
baddest band to EVER come out of seattle, PERIOD!!! this band has one album the but and it is one of the best albums EVER of this genre. true bad boys. rock on.
Bought this bands 'cassette' back in the late 80's...loved it, then seen them at the old Hammerjacks in Baltimore. Tossed the tape after that. They were nothing but a bunch of crack heads.
Don't want to agree with you but I do. Saw them at Perkins in L.A. and the singer was tweaked. He threw something at a heckler and people didn't seem to like them. Shame, the LP was brilliant.
Yeah, total rock n roll. I saw them at The Riverside in Newcastle on what I think was their one and only tour on the UK. They were a really drug fucked band though and I wasn't surprised at all when heroin killed guitarist.
this song is one of the best to come out of this era of music! they ended it way too soon, they would have been huge-nice to see others that remember them.

@tehmaninblack ,
the bass player o.d.'d about a year after this album was released. the band split.
gnr almost hired the drummer, and the guitarist (not the singer) went on to play in steven pearcy's band....

Other bands were afraid of the Hags
With good reason
They kicked major ass
Life just isn't the same without them.
They used to let me drool on them backstage over beers
I was their most rabid fan

Underrated and sadly missed, saw them live in 1989 supported by D.A.D in Leeds. One great album and then sadly no more.
Up there with The Throbs for bands that should have had more exposure
