To me the point is, after waiting far too long, America seems to FINALLY be on the ball and focused on Green energy. And there's tremendous power in that level of commitment...slow in coming, but (I believe) unstoppable once started.

the USA waited to be attacked at pearl harbour to join the allied forces in ww2, more than 2 years after the start of the war, at a time when nazi germany was controlling most of europe. They also waited for Yuri gagarine to be the first man in space (12 april 1961) before announcing they were going to the moon (25 may 1961). Having said that, they do have the incredible capacity turn things around as the video shows, when, and only when, there is a will to do so. Now show us that you can !

Having many die in a war is not always the worst thing imaginable. In some cases the alternative is far worse: A Europe ruled by Hitler or the Pacific controlled by an aggressive imperial Japanese regime. Sadly there are times when war is the answer because the alternative is even worse. Had not there been lives lost on the beaches of Normandy, far more would have been lost in the long run.

We gotta have the guts to tackle the Climate/Energy/Economic crisis as a whole. While the oil companies are making RECORD profits--My family is trying to figure out how in the hell we are going to heat our home this winter! Heating oil (and gasoline) prices have more than doubled but our household income hasn't! How can we sit and think the current energy policy is going to do anything but destroy America?
