Actually, in a couple of interviews with her that I've read, she talked about going to college, even going as far as getting her PhD. I think she said she was interested in studying music history. In terms of her understanding of the importance of education no matter what your career aspirations are, she was a great role model for young people.

I believe that Beyoncé would have blown up regardless. Aaliyah was getting huge when she passed. Smh I don't believe Aaliyah would have simmered down in her career she would still be fire. I think she would have acted more. I miss you baby girl. I sometimes think about you and wonder what you would be doing now if you were still here.

@XXxplosive100 Rihanna and Ciara, true, but Beyonce is a megastar and she would've done just fine had there been no Aaliyah. Her image and sound is more closely aligned to Diana Ross and Tina Turner than anything from the 90s. Not that I have anything less than love for Aaliyah, who I know is resting peacefully.

Yeah, That's what I'm saying. Beyonce is nothing like Aaliyah. There is nothing similar about them. People are always comparing Beyonce & Aaliyah. Aaliyah was smooth & sexy. Beyonce is fierce & sexy. It's two different people. Beyonce came out in 1997. People act like she came out in 2008. She is a vet. She is not a new artist.
