Trooper Martin was in the wrong. During the initial encounter and scuffle, Martin was told at least six times by Paramedic Maurice White that there was a patient in the ambulance. Martin was told numerous times by the family that there was a patient. Paramedics explained that they did yield. The dash cam video shows that they yielded. A trooper that can NOT tell the difference between right and wrong does not need to be a trooper. This trooper failed to protect and serve. The family should sue.

Even more amazingly, the trooper has absolutely no emergency. He has his flashers on and is driving really fast, but he has his wife in the passenger seat. All he is doing is showing off for his wife. The only people with any sort of emergency here is the ambulance trying to get a person to the hospital

The ambulance was running without siren and lights at the time , It is at the discretion of the EMT . Since it was a winding 2 lane , the EMT felt that it was not necessary , that the noise would further bother his patient . That was not an issue , however . The EMT CLEARLY told to ego ridden trooper that "THERE IS A PATIENT IN THE AMBULANCE . At that point , the trooper became the lawbreaker . He was trying to impress his wife who was riding with him at the time .
