I love this video. The song is so sad and his voice creates a mood that is hard not to get sucked into. I am so thankful to our veterans and their loving and supportive families.
my grandfather stood and watched the unmarked graves even when the weather was horrible...i know how it feels when family is kia (killed in action) they fight for our freedom and ever since i was at least 1 and 1/2 years old i have understood freedom never comes free. my friends thought i was crazy when i was little but now they know wat i mean and they feel sad for me. My family is a true blue military family all my cousins, uncles, grandfathers, and my dad have been or still in the military.
This reminds me of a book I'm reading about the civil war and how they were ad at Arlington, naturally I thought of this song. Thx those heros fighting for america )O(
My moms boyfriend, had a friend who died back in 1998 and now his grandpa died a day before my birthday and their sharing a stone in Mill Spring Cemetery. I don't know them real well but I am proud to say I know their family and friends.
@Supergangstamama my heart goes out to your brothers, My brother CPL. Skyler Coleman lost his left leg from an IED (improvised explosive device) on May 31. I'm gals he's not in Arlington but I'm thankful for the men who gave up they're lives for us.
I have a brother in Afghanistan and one in Korea. Songs like this mean soooo much. I've been to Arlington twice and the Changing of the Guards. I hope my brothers don't end up there. It's very sad but yet an honor to be there. I now know what families go through on a day to day bassis having family over seas and I can say it's hell
Bow your head and think of those who didn't make it back. Those who couldn't see their loved ones once more and tell them 'I love you'. Those who weren't there to see their kids be born. Those who didn't see their little ones grow up, strong, and proud of them. But those who couldn't come back will always be remembered.
i have always wanted to go there but my whole grade is going to DC this week and im the only one who had 2 stay back that wasnt bad, my dad wouldnt even let me raise money 2 go (a few kids had to stay back because they were expelled/sespended) i hate that 2day i smiled and waved with the rest of the school smiling wen my heart was really breaking inside.i didnt want 2 ruin my friends' good time so i pretended i was just really happy for them instead of so sad and left out, it was the right thing
this song means alot to me... my brother is a United States Marine i look up to him and admire everyone who serves. My family and i pray to god to keep him safe everyday and thank god it has worked so far. ~semper fi~ HOORAH
everytime i hear this song it makes me cry for all of the ppl that gave their lives to make us the free country we are today. god bless the veterans, ppl over seas fighting for us, and people that have already died for us.
not too long ago i went to that cemetary, stared at all the graves, especially the one from my family..gave me the chills to be that close to someone who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Semper Fi
i had a great uncle die in vietnam and a great grandfather die on omaha beach in world war 2 and 3 relatives my dad, cousin and grandfather serve in the first gulf and iraqi freedom and enduring freedom so this song hits home.
To all the men and women buried in arlington I salute you and I am beyond bless to know we are protected by the USA military and heros who made it to arlington.
My great uncle on my dads side was killed in vietnam while trying to rescue some of his fellow comrades that where wounded and pinned under enemy fire, and my grandmother was giving the option to burry him in arlington but said that he would have rather the spot be given to someone that better deserved it.
@wwiibigfan I'm thankful for your uncle, i cant imagine having a relative kia. my great uncle served in wwII, so did my old history teacher's dad (marine) stormed an island in the pacific. his tank division was the only division to make it past to the beach the first day, was wounded by a Japanese sniper, after his friend was. had only 30% of blood circulation, for the rest of his life.
I know this song is sad but it always makes me smile because it reminds me of brother who was like my best friend. He died in battle, he was a marine. Go Marines! ANd i miss him everyday and this just makes me think of him.
Dont read this cause it actually works. You will be kissed on nearest possibly friday by the love of your life. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However if you do not post to at least 3 videos you will die within 2 days. Now youve started reading this so dont stop. This is so scary put this on at least 5 videos in 143 minutes when youre done press F6 and your lovers name will appear on the screen in big letters. This is so scary cuz it actually works
@simbaaddict Have you listened to his song "Til the Last Shot's Fired?" That one's amazing too. I think that one is actually more powerful than this one.
i love this song so much its so sad because my grandpa and my uncle served in the army and one of them died,i love this song i want to sing this song for my choir concert i hope the teacher will let us because it will show how much we aprretaite what they have done for us thank u all those who have died for us
This song made me cry, The cost of freedom, Thank you to any Veterans or families who has a family member in service I thank you for the service to our country and all the ones who are in Arlington I very special thanks, You gave up your life, for us....
this song reminds me of my brother and he is buried in Huntsville Alabama when he really should be in Arlington cause he was in the JROTC and he was wanting to serve his country and they would not let him so he ended his life and for true dedication to his country he should be in Arlington not in Huntsville.
@ConfederatePride1861 he was not a suicidal Maniac he wanted to serve his country but he had burns on his Right arm and on his right shoulder and because of the burns he could not serve so that's why he should be in Arlington so please don't talk about my brother like that.
when i was little, i asked my older brother and sister wat this song was talking about. i never believed it was about a cemetary. it took my a long time to understand, but now i know.
I always begin to cry when I listen to this song.
