  • Oh i love ur Basking Area on top did u buy it?or make??can u plzzz tell me i really like it!!(:

  • I have a slider about the size of your bigger one. If I buy a new little one and add it to the aquarium will the big one attack it?

  • @KennyMak Probably not. But there is extremely slim chance if they don't like each other. It's your call

  • @halo3rulesyou i just got two baby turtles and my big one attacked it

  • @KennyMak Yes, My friend had a 6in slider and he added two baby sliders, it was fine for about two week, then the 6in killed one of them....

  • i have 7 turtles:)

  • i have 7 turtles:)

  • Were did you get that basking dock and the steps

  • Where can I get one of those attachment things for the turtle on the top or can I buy one with that already on it

  • can someone watch my video and say what kind of turtle mine is?thanks

  • Too cute!! I have a red ear slider that is the same size as the larger one in the video. I want to get a little guy like the other two in your tank. I keep having everyone tell me not to? They say my big one will eat them..My four inch is in a 55 gal and that would be what I added the baby to as well. After a meeting in a place that they have never been to see how it goes. Looks like it could work,Im thinking of doing it now lol.My RES has a long tail and short front claws though??MorF?

  • The small one is just the cutest little thing I ever did see

  • Can you tell me how you made the above-tank area? And also, how much did your filter cost, because I'm using a Tetra Whisper 40i and I'd love to get rid of it from my 20 gal tank. Your set up looks real nice. Bet your turtles are happy!

  • WTF it looks like he is beggingto the frog at o:28

  • How did you make that basking area? Can you please help me!! (:

  • cn anyone tell me how to difference between a male n female red slider turtle?

  • @AchinBBR male turtles have longer nails than females and their tails are longer. I had a website that showed the difference but i forgot what it was. You can only tell their genders usually when they're 3 years old.

  • wow i love the basking area !! i want one too :)

  • wow nice setup you have there^^ thumb upsss

  • u need like a 50 gallon tank... this is way to small

  • @RENJ55 No it's not to small. It's just fine. There is plenty of room for them to swim, on top of that he added the basking area as a topper. Giving them the full 20Gal to swim, Plus they look pretty happy.

  • this is wonderfull,I must say.i have a question tho, dont your sliders eat the fish? I had bad expericence putting those 2 together -.-"

  • Hey does the bigger one "bully" the smaller one?

  • wow 3 res turtles at full grown some can get over a foot so u will need 75 gallons for 1 150 for 2 and so 4th i have reaised and been breeding for over 30 years trust me they get way big ..i ned a way way way bigger tank 150 gallons or more

  • @dragonng1 it depends on what kind of fish it is They like to eat those crappy golfish kind, but stuff like cown gish and stuff like that, that are pretty big they dont snack on :)

  • I mean I have 9 turtles, 3 juveniles now :p

  • Now I got 9 turtles to got 3 juv

  • i have 2 little ones and they can live 40 years or more!!!

  • awesome set up with the basking area and everything

  • Bag now I got 2 juveniles in tank, 4 almost juveniles and 2 babys 1 inches. The 2 juveniles now r couples and are almost adults they fit in 29 gallon tank at 4 inches of sizes

  • 10gal per inch of shell

  • @PappaMusic is a 55 gallon tank okay for a 6 in turtle. I have a 20 gallon tank. But i got the tank when i got my turtle but of course he grew!

  • @DBDshow12 55gal is enough, eventually for the turtles comfort your gonna want at least 10 more gallons. and you right! the bigger the fish the less theyll tamper with them, would you try to eat a cow if it didnt fit on your plate?!? lol

  • Nice i suppose to get 2 big one only got 1 big from petco and a 29 gallon tank with 4 almost juvenille but 2 is only an inch and it is a year old cuz my friend have it to me there like 3 months away from being juvinile and my big turtle is a couple months away nearly turning to a young adult at 2 and a half years old of age

  • Wondering if the big turtle smashese or hits or attack little ones cause I got 3 babies and getting 2 more big ones fronbpetcovplease message ms if going fine with your turtles

  • You ppl are so fucken retards and money wasters!!! Did you know. 10 inch red slider can fit in 20 gallon long. Yea and I seen that before AND it was happy then you small little penis (that means all of you).

  • omg that tank is WAY to small.

  • are you going to get a bigger aquarium when they get older?

  • That's the best I ever seen next year I'm getting a job at age of 14 and I gonna gett all that

  • Very quality setup. I have a different setup, but I don't have the video to show it. However, I would like to ask you if the little turtles have any trouble with the big one? They aren't related, like mother and daughter, are they? I wanted to buy a little turtle that would grow and perhaps mate with my turtle later, but the shop owner warned me the big one would attack and perhaps kill the little one, so I was too scared... What's your experience? Thanks

  • i have a big res turtle and i had a little one but the older one was nipping at the baby's feet wen he was swimming so i had to give him away

  • how much was the basking area? plz tell me. i have a big red ear, and a juvinille one. also a giant bull frog and red belly fire toads(2)

  • nice aquarium

  • i saw how you have your setup and i did did mine a bit different ... check it out,

  • is this 10 gallon

  • Love the set up!

  • 10 gal. for each inch. of the turtle mann, poor turtle is probably suffering no swimming rooom!

  • I have a red eared slider hatchling and its in a tank with maybe three other fish. I have a 10 gallon tank at the moment with a 10 gallon filter. but I can never keep the water clean. Two days after I change the water, its back to grossness. Any ideas on how I can keep it clean longer?

  • may you please tell me how to make the above basking area....how much did it cost(everything beside that frog) and can u give me instruction video please i need this bad my turtles love swiming but they have no space because of the basking rocks!

  • THERE LIKE FOR MONTHS OLD

  • WHAT SHOULD I FEED MY RED EAR SLIDER TO GROW

  • Your tank is beautiful and clean. It's not enough space for your turtle though. The size of the turtle makes me think you need at least a 50 US gallon tank. Maybe 40 Gallons. No offense, but the pets need lots of space to thrive happily, and a happy pet = a happy pet owner :) Beautiful setup!

  • nice tank! good thing the turtles aren't afraid of that big froggy with the welcome sign attached to it. if it were real the welcome sign means "you're food for me, dude."

  • lucky turtles!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @keith22192 dude my turtles name is aqua man

  • Where did you get the Plastic glass that you surrounded your basking area with and do RES turtles eat feeder fish?

  • i like your basking dock. Did you make it? If sp could you make a tutorial for it?

  • does a red eared slider turtle eats fishes???

  • @JojoTheLucky Red eared slider turtles do eat fish but make sure that your turtles are about 6 inches, if smaller it is a huge risk for your turtles.

  • =D lol the little ones are cute. i got mine a few weeks ago and i will be asking my dad's friends if they have a 10 gal or more glass tank since they did along time ago.

  • Very nice setup! The baby turtles are so adorable!

  • hey i was wondering what you used to make your turtle dock? would like to make one like it, thanks.

  • nice

  • that is a nice tank

  • thats fucking incredible

  • thanks that gives me a great idea

  • can any1 check out my video of my RES and help me out. plz

  • what type of feeder fish do you have in your tank?

  • wow what's up with the setup? are you like.. 5 yrs old?

  • thats tight man never would of thought of that.

  • My only Concern is the Size of the tank. It looks great very well set up but I think it might be a bit small for a 4 inch Female.

You still have some time to get a bigger one but dont wait to long.

Like I said the Tank really dose look great.

  • awesome tank! what type of filter is that? i have 2 NEWBORN common musk turtles, and i use a 16 dollar exo-terrs filter (and a sucker fish) :)

  • cool basking spot.

  • by the way "he" is a "she", her claws are way to small to be a male

  • how big is the biggest male?

  • Thats a really neat, clean, and well set up turtle tank. 5/5

  • the turtles will outgrow that tank. Trust me, they get pretty big

  • @HiroyushiKun sometime they remain small

  • wow they really need a bigger tank

  • you need at least a 40 gallon

  • WTF at 0:18 the small turtle is swimming backwords???

  • no hes being pushed by the current that the fish filter makes

  • @TheUTubeRebel the filter pushed him back

  • @TheUTubeRebel I had a maxi 1200 n even my 7" res swam backwards when it hit the jet stream... its fun to watch them fight it and swim, i always turn mine off at night fort them to relax... they need exercise some how :)

  • @TheUTubeRebel

Maybe the amount of force of the big turtle swimming made him go backwards.

  • @TheUTubeRebel its the water flow

  • @TheUTubeRebel filter

  • @TheUTubeRebel ROFL!!! it is nice spotting hahaha

  • @DjJizzify Hah... funny, but I'm sure it's because of the water current from the outtake in the corner pushing the little guy back.

  • Can you please explain how your complete Aquarium Setup? I want to setup like that.

Would really appreciate the help. My turtle would love it.

    Thanks

  • I have a similar sized turtle and he's 7 years old. I think yours might be of same age.

  • Can you turtle escape from the basking area?

  • the big one is a girl, you can tell by the tail and claws, males tails are half of there shell length

  • where did you get the ramp for your basking area because my turtle cant get up on to his dock and i cant find a ramp for him

  • no offense, but that tank is way to small for 3 turtles

  • are u dumb? he has 2 baby's which are happy in any body of water and one juvenile which only needs a 2o gallon anyway

  • It is to small to actually..

For the baby turtles its fine but the rule is 10 Gallons per inch a turtle's shell

If this turtle is 4 inchs it needs a 40 gallon tank the least, I don't even wanna imagine the cleaning for that tank, turtles are messy.

  • you should show us how to make the dock its awesome

  • Make a video on how you made the dock please!!!!!!! Very nice set up

  • do you mind making a tutorial on how to build that basking platform.check out my vids.

    Kind redards

  • Wow, so beautiful! I have a turtle as big as yours but, he is only in a 1.5 gal tank right now. I am going to shop for a new tank for him but, had no idea how big it should be. Mine doesn't even have a filter so I have to change the water daily! Yes they are poopers! Can you please give some advice on what I need for him, setups? Will the turtle eat the fish or harm the baby turtle? Thank you!

  • if you turtle is that big then get a MUCH larger tank, 20 gallons with a good filter or 2

  • Thank you so much! My uncle got me a tank but, it's only 10 gallon but, it's a lot better than the 1.5 tank...? I also got goldfishes but, I'm afraid to put them together because I don't want him to eat the fishes?

  • its better but still not what it should be and odds r the turtles will chase/eat the goldfish

  • well any fish in the tank are fair game to a turtle, im going to get a pleco in a few weeks and they are pretty resilient to turtles, though only time with tell becaue eventually he will kill and eat my pleco (sad face)

  • hes prolly like 2 or 3 maybe

  • the big 1 is about 3 years old like mine

  • the big turtle will eat the lil turtle

  • if hes super hungry then will eat baby

  • NICE Filter. I had the HOT magnum 350 for my 60 gallon tank and my 40 gallon saltwater tank. It was alot easier to maintain thatn my Fluval 405 Canister filter. Nice tank setup btw, youve inspired ,e to redesign my current Red ear slider tank. I doint know why i never thought of making a basking area on top of the tank before. Anyway, ill post a video response of my tank when its redesigned in the next few weeks...

  • you need a place for them to bask !

  • did you even watch the vid? they have a nice above tank basking area which you can see if you watch at least 20 seconds into

  • i know some one that bought a baby(couple inches) turtle kept it i a 70 gallon tank got no lighting at all and now its 10 inches long

  • MORON!!

  • omg i love ur tank topper thing how did u make it i wanted the turtle topper from reptology but its too expensive can u make a video on how to make it PPLLLEEEAAASSSSSEEEEE??????!!!!!!! =]!

  • hey i think your petco turtle is or was at this time about 8 months to a year old if its a girl which i think it is cuz when i got my turtles they were that big at 8months they were females my male turtles at 8 months were about 3 to 3 1/2 inches

  • your tank is way too small

  • no its not the turtle is 14 inches, and theres 2 babies so that probably adds to less than 20, which is how much water is in the tank 1inch = 1 gallon, when the little ones grow up then he'll need a new tank

  • Actually your incorrect! Many people get the inches to gallons wrong, which can cause stress to your turtles. The correct formula is ten gallons for every inch of the turtles shell.

  • yeah i realised that like 10 minutes after i typed it xD but still i think 10 gallons per inch is way too much, like no one does that and their turtles live happy and healthy turtles need to grow some balls an be happy with the tank they got (if it looks reasonable lol, not if its like a tight squeeze for the turtle or anything)

  • 10 gallons per inch is probably PETA standards LOL. And yes, they will burn your house down ;-)

I got my 2 turtles (2.5 inches each = 5 inches of total turtle shell which means I "should" be using a 50 gallon) in a 29 gallon and they look small in there LOL. As long as there is sufficient room for them to swim around freely without bumping heads, they will be fine.

  • ti does seem a little cluttered though with all those huge statues

  • can never tell how old they are with not having them from really small, mine is that size and only had him 3 months

  • tight work nice tank setup they love water

  • That tank is way too small for your larger turtle! poor lil guy

  • this is exactly the setup i would like for my turtle

  • what do you use for a heat source. i use the flukers clamp lamp but i dont no wat bulb to use because i just used a regular incandescent bulb and the lamp heats up pretty fast and i dont want it to burn down the house.

  • u can get a uvb which turtles need for there shell but u will need a heat source too some bulbs sell it 2 in 1

  • thats the same filtrer I use on my turtle tank

  • Thats the same light i use in my turtle tank.

  • how far does the light have to be from the basking area?

  • your gonna need a bigger tank when he gets older.

  • he has a pond

  • How did you build the above basking area???

  • Does 40 gallon tank is ok for my 4 baby red ear slider turtles?

  • yes! thats more then enough for 4 babies!

  • thanks,I'm just researching on how could I give my turtles the best home for them.

  • Ups didint saw it sorry my bad :(. Great vid, and great editing for your tank :).

  • How does it get light for it's shell.

  • it's a bit small

  • how did you build the dock... i like it but can yu tell me how you built the entire thing

  • i love ur aquarium

  • any tips on how you built this ? D:

  • u realize a female RES is gonna need a 120 gallon aquarium in a few years

  • he is right.

  • the big one is a girl no older than 2 years.the little ones to early to tell. The basking area is very nice, but you will need a bigger tank soon!!

  • how can download your video?

  • VERY VERY NICE 5 STARS

  • can you use a uv light bulb on a regular lamp?

  • hm depends on the wattage it should work fine

  • I have a baby turtle, I would love to know how much water to put in its tank, i only have a little bit over his shell now, like 2 inches of water.

  • hey i have 2 4 month red eared sliders and all they do is hide under their dock and never pop out and they dont eat plz messege me back if you have any reason why their doing that

  • baby turtles r picky if u feed them turtle food they might not eat it go with worms or something like that

  • well when my turtles used to ne like that but i keep putting there food to eat and later they started eating also when i first started to feed them feeder fishes they didnt but i kinda teached them on that i grab the fish by the tail and later on they started to think its their meal they started eating fishes too!!!

so yeah i guess baby turtles are picky my turtles are 2years and a few months old!!

  • omg that a 20gal and im gettin a 300gal in a month karnt wait

  • that dock you made is awesome. i've been searching for a dock for my turtles.. but they're waaay too heavy.

do you have any tips to make a turtle dock? yours is the best one i've seen so far.

  • myturtles shell has nearly fully peeled carnt wait its gon be gooooooooooooooood

  • How did you learn how to build a custom basking spot?

  • dude that sucks i just got LG (little guy)! and he is 2 inches

  • hey, can you make a video on how you made the basking spot?

  • he can be a year and up
