JB may have been "Dead On It" for life, but he will always be "Live With His Mo' Funky Jive And Bad Self. It's hard for my neck to rest on this piece.
When u can jam and joke around while doing it..........u got to be funky.
.........down d....funky d.....wait a minute......s'cuse me Charlie while I blow.blow my nose ..I mean horn....give the bass some ...he ain't had none.....now.don't let him go too far now.....he might get lost....help him Fred...can I get up.....cause we done got down.......ain't that funky.
It seems that god has a good taste of music.. i think thats why he took JB from us.. ye jb in name of all REAL bboys i have to say Rip and WE LOVE YOU FROM ALL OUR HEART!! thank you! :)
Part of my all time favourite JB tracks. I first caught it on radio as a teenager and later found my vinyl copy. A true underrated gem, I still don't understand how come people generally never heard about it..
this isn't Bootsy. Too bad they didn't take the intro with his rap about the copycats in the business. Looks like a Funkadelic-type keys thang. If you like this check out the Hustle with speed lp.
one of my favourite jb song!! the speech on start is missing but it's a very long one like james brown use to do back in the days!!listen to the amaaaaazing sax solo, it starts around 5:30....maceo is still the boss!!!song avalaible on an underestimated lp from jb, the 1975 effort "sex machine disco soul dance dance dance".
That rap from James Brown is one of his best, below "Mind Power" in intensity. He raps on this song about how many people are imitating and how hard it is to do his thing, but at the end of this session, "they'll see where the funk come from." That's the funkiest part of the record, that vamp and long rap!

That's not a good quality. The original quality has on the beginning a speech from James and it's more bass

@Buckeyecat2002 this isn't from the hustle dead on it album. It's from "sex machine today".

@bassmstr15 - I didn't see your post before I posted my correction, lol.

@Buckeyecat2002 - This is not a lost studio cut from the 'Hustle Dead On It' album. This is from the 'Sex Machine Today' album from 1975.
