  • has anybody noticed the first 5 sets were just copy paste? lol look closely

  • what if you fail the rep =P?

  • @muzimuzi

Why do you keep asking me this question? There are spot racks in place at all time with all lifts that I do. So, I am always covered...

  • @BRETZERR oh yea i didnt notice - i see many of ur lifts with 1RM are close to failure so each time i cross fingers ha ha =P

  • where you ever in any powerlifting comp and if so how many

  • @rstyzz6

Nah...nothing yet. Just lifting for fun at the moment. Thanks though...

  • Nice! So far no sign of burnout. Once a week seems to be the way to go with this type of training.

  • @dhess6

So far so good...slow and steady...we'll see what happens. 365 lbs is the number to beat...

  • You HAVE to have 365 in you for a 1-rep max. Great lifting!

  • @DefensiveTackle94

Thanks - yeah, I must be getting close anyway. 370 lbs is the goal, since I have already done 365 lbs before. We'll see....

  • keep going strong mate

  • @sebastiancish

    Thanks bro - much appreciated.

  • awesome pressing there bretz! getting right back up there!

  • @IronStrength19

Thanks Owen...370 lbs is the goal within the next few weeks...we'll see what happens...

  • good work randy! hitting that 350 at the end is impressive

  • @j0540212

Thanks Josh. I was very happy to hit 350 lbs after all that stuff...should mean good things going forward on the quest for 370 lbs fresh. We'll see...

  • man i bet you r really happy with this! does 350 tie ur PR? is so, you got that dull man! after all those sets damn.. might be good for 360 fresh.. do you find this helping ur flat bench as long as ur going up in these?

  • @PowerlifterTy16

No, my PR is 365 lbs on the incline. But I was still pretty happy to be able to hit 350 lbs after all my single sets. In a week or two I should be good for 370 lbs. But I can't say anything until I do it...

I don't usually find a lot of carryover from inclines to the flat bench, but I like to keep my strength relatively even throughout my body. So inclines are always in there; they have more of a carryover to shoulder presses than anything else.

  • Great sets man! I gota be a little more like you, and push harder!!

  • @jplift

Ha, ha...yeah, I don't know about that JP...you are lifting more than me on these movements lately, so I think I could probably learn something from YOU!

  • Dude, I so want to get back into incline work. Too bad it would get in the way of my push presses. :(

    Good workout.

  • @xjusticex2013x

Thanks man - too bad. But the time will come when you can jump back on them...

  • great video Randy! you should make some clean and press videos

  • @FallenFootwear11

Can't...I am inside in my basement for the fall/winter and the ceiling is too low for any standing presses...I wish I could. It was fun working on the snatches...

  • nice work bro, i'm stalling on my military press on jim wendler's 5/3/1...any tips form ur experience?

  • @Demian602

Yes, stop doing military's for awhile and do something else...push presses, jerks, high inclines with a close-grip, whatever...just change it up.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • You're the Compound Master

  • @LoBoExtreme

    Ha, ha...thanks.

  • Haha your grinders are ridiculous. Awesome work. I can't wait to see you passyour 365, since that weight in itself on incline is monstrous!

  • @jlinteris

Ha, ha...yeah, my tri's kind of locked up on me for a second...ha, ha...but there was slight movement, so I just kept pushing.

I just hit 370 lbs on the cambered bar and I am usually about the same on inclines as that lift...so that's a good sign for 370 lbs on the inclines soon. I want to hit 405 lbs one day....I think 4 plates on the incline would be sweet.

  • @BRETZERR 405 on incline is fucking crazy. Really. That is something that most ogres that press upwards of 500 do not touch, then again neither is 365. That is a great goal and doable since you are only 30-40 away from it.

  • @jlinteris

I am somewhat confident I could get there rather quickly if I wasn't playing ball this year...that always slows down my pressing progress. But such is life...it will just take a little bit longer than it should. I think anyone who benches more than 500 lbs on flat could get 4 plates easy on the incline if they actually put some time in a trained for it. The problem is they don't...no need to really.

  • Nice lifts man.. You sure managed to have yet another good workout, especially when your shoulders and arms were sore.

  • @IncredibleHulkRobert

Thanks - hopefully more to come...

  • another good lift man...umm do you have a weekly schedule of lifting or focusing on one part each week or what?

  • @BowFreak86

Thanks - it's a little random at this stage. I hit whatever I feel like when I feel like it is a good time to do so. A lot varies on other things as well, like when I have a basketball game or a day that I am running some track, or whatever.

  • Good work bro! Yeah your triceps looked tired but u were able to muscle through it!

  • @HHH396

Thanks Mark. I was happy to hit these sets and be done with the whole thing. Stronger days are coming...ha, ha...

  • nice job "rewarding" yourself with 350 for all those singles! what kind of rep/load scheme are you using here, or is it just random?

  • @martin1106

Ha, ha...for inclines all I have been doing is pretty simple. 5 sets with a given weight...then a 6th set with 5 lbs more. If I can hit all the sets, I bump the weight up 5 lbs for the next week's workout. That's it...
