I play the intro riff clean, then add slight Delay and Chorus for the piano riff. Then I just add distortion for the rest and wah toward the end there. All of that is done through a Boss ME-50 ($299). I loop the tracks and use the pre-programmed drum tracks through a Boss RC-2 Loop Station ($150 - I think).

It is the Boss RC-2 Loop Station. It allows me to loop riffs and add in the drum tracks.
