I want to see a test vs glass set at an angle, glass lubricated with various materials. You would think that if a bullet struck a glass shield which was V shaped (aerial view) consisting of 2 panels with its corner facing the gun, there would be some acute angle at which the bullet would deflect instead of penetrate.

the distance is also a problem..... at that close range with those caliber rounds, its going to carry almost the same amount of energy as the bullets had upon immediately being shot.

i want to see the same glass, being shot with the same weapons from a very far distance to take into account the deceleration and loss of kinetic energy.

Im positive the 308 and 30-6 would not penetrate past the 3rd layer of glass, but the 50 cal would still go clean through

well, I was joking. But consider that you could sit between 40 pound bags of sand, even double or triple. It would be practical if you really thought you were going to be shot at. Is it really impractical to fill a car door with sand? Suppose in a pinch you needed a bullet proof vest vs a 9mm pistol. Is it all that outrageous to hang a 40 lb bag of sand on front & back (only 80 lb total). Keep a couple of sand bags w/ straps in your bed room -- LOL

Bullet Proof glass is actually 2.5" or 5 plates of glass and it's not a good comparison on the fact that bullet proof glass is designed to stop bullets after 2 or 3 it will give way hence why the .308 almost went threw its stopping force is gone after the glass is shattered it's not "BULLET PROOF" it is more "Bullet hindering"

Is it not possible that baddies will use multiple shots from mulitple calibers? I know its not testing the actual impact of a .308 or .30-06 itself, but it is testing the combined affect, which is what counts in the end.
