Churchill: Why would you do this? Of all the things you've told me, this I find hardest to believe. Why? To invite your friends to see your death?

The Doctor: I had to die. I didn't have to die alone.

  • This might be wierd but for the life of me i have no idea where/what episode this song is from...tho i do love it :P

  • Q. Why can't i stop playing this?

    A. Because it's so GOD DAMN AUSOME!

  • Splendid fellow, all one of him...

  • wait when is this song?

  • I loved this scene. the fact that the doctor decided to die when he found out the news was amazingly written. and the build up of music at the end is magnificent.

  • ohh 1:34 <3

  • Nicholas Courtney , what a magnificent contribution you made to my childhood, rest in piece.

  • The death bell-type bit at 1:10 reallys gets to me, as does 1:33, but in a totally different way.

  • Ah, Alistair. We'll miss you, but we'll always remember you.

    Happy crying. Humany-wumany.

  • Goodbye brig, you where a fine part of the whoniverse, you will be remembered. <3

  • the I am the Doctor segment should be played during Matt's actual regeneration when it comes, soooo epic!

  • I'll miss the Brig...

  • We Lost Two Large Parts of the Doctor Whoniverse, Elisabeth Sladen and Nicolas Courtney.

Fitting that The Impossible Astronaut is Dedicated to Elisabeth Sladen and there is a tribute to the Brigadier in the Finale and in both episodes the Doctor dies (well, sort of)

  • @MsEcogeek Don't forget Roy Skelton. :'(

  • The best track of Series 6 by far =)

  • @BarneystudiozFilmz Yep, definitely one of Murray Gold's best compositions. Poignant but fiery at the end, it's very emotional. It's definitely the track in series 6 I'll be listening to the most. :D

  • 1:29 onwards is my favorite

  • That 'I am the doctor' sorta bit at the end it just EPIC!:)

  • Dat Finale.

  • this track needs a whole lot of love <3

  • I always liked this piece of music-and i also though it was very clever that they put in that little tribute of the brig in, the fact that the doctor realises he's gone is genuine. it gives the realistic idea that the one who helped him when he was stranded on earth is now lost forever makes him want to go and face his own fate,

this bit was well written and i like the i am the doctor arranfement at the end of it.
