  • I've had both inkjet and laser, the laser will be my first and last of that outdated technology. Why? Slow, first page out takes nearly 5 minutes, VS 5 seconds on a high speed inkjet, and the inkjet can maintain a higher speed once started. Absurd cost per page, my laser costs from 25 cents to $5 PER COLOR PAGE! Inkjet costs pennies even for color. Problems: My laser printer always has problems and needs new parts, and inkjet printhead lasts over 50 000 prints. Laser is obsolete.

  • whats funny though is that some printers now wont print unless all the cartridges are full for ex I might have enough ink on most of the colors except yellow and it wont print anything until all of them have been refilled.

  • Another thing that the guy doesn't mention is the bigger array of paper choices for laser. It's impossible to print on tracing paper with inkjet, or watercolour paper.

  • I'm a home laserjet user and i only use it on occasion with satisfaction!

  • This guy is wrong on almost all points that he made.

    Laser photo paper does exist.

Home owners will most always save money with a laser because ink does not dry out. It is way faster and more reliable thin ink jet.

Leave a laser off for 2 years, turn it on and print period.

Ink jet ink dries out and belt drive will die.

  • @bubbagump2736 Mine is 11 years and 2 months old and still works!

  • @bubbagump2736 Good point well made :D

  • @bubbagump2736 Can a laser printer print photos?

I have heard that they cannot do a very good job at all.

Only for printing text and graphics.

  • How to save in the long run in a home office as a graduate student? Left for me, I'd prefer an inklessjet. Sadly, it's not commercially available yet. May be it was killed just at point of invention or investment. What happened to PreHeat? Oh, it's $6000. I see. I'd rather use a free library printer than buy a golden rooster.

  • This reviewer didn't mention anything about inkjet draining much more ink per use than a laserjet would. That's to me a judgement to make when deciding on a printer to purchase.

  • Would like to see a common sense video, where people actually SHOW the print quality of both printers.

  • So Laser for Text, Ink for Photos.

  • good video. And what is with the printing speed? Lasers are a lot faster right?

  • @Hunter1234561 Yeah

  • Helped a lot Thanx!

  • @83Shad Glad we could help, our pressure
