My dog does the exact same thing, she loves when I swing her softly while she's holding on to her toy, she does that growling thing too! So weird, but she's not a Maltese, she's a Toy Poodle Chihuahua mix.

amazing how easily amused the dogs are. Even more amazing how amused the humans are. ha ha I can play fetch with my dog Diamond for hours, and tug-o-war with my dog cookie as well. :)
