I remember when the Endowment was altogether "acted out", by temple workers who were trained for the various parts, played out, in the various rooms. In fact, there was an "Earth Room", and a "Garden (of Eden) Room", and Telestial; Terrestrial; and, Celestial Rooms.

But, I never heard of the Endowment having actual sex. Even in the film (the movie version) there is no sex.

I do know, however, that until around 1920, an oath of hatred against the U.S. government was part of the ceremony.

colby, these books were written by people (plural) that went thru the ceremony. I show only a few. There are at least a dozen. And yes, in 19th C. Nauvoo and Utah there was sex in the endowments with Miss ELiza often playing Eve with Enthusiasm
