*sigh* this was my favorite quest until I read that you could do this, I'd rush through everything else to get to this and do it like a baws. My favorite completion was when I duplication glitched a ton of poison apples in the dining area, 3 people sat to eat simultaneously  and died, then it was just the nord and the dark elf, who proceeded to summon an axe with which to kill the nord. After finishing him off she walked up to me and said "four people dead, who could the murderer be?"

I remember doing this quest I got my character all dressed up fancy and used a dagger to kill the redguard in his sleep for my first target. God it was epic doing it like an assassin.

Taking your time with this quest is much more fun than killing them all in two minutes, otherwise you might as well have burned the house down while they were locked in. Turning them on each other was such fun, I felt like Sheogorath on holiday. I think on my playthrough I ended up pinning the Nord guy to the front door with highly enchanted arrows, killing two in their sleep, electrocuting the old woman in the basement and collecting the rich guys soul to sell it. -Irony.

the guests are fuckin idiots. i murdured one in front of another one, and he didn't even react! he thought someone the other surviving guest was the murdurer. he charged him and killed him. and once i was spotted and i was attacked by the guests. after killing them, i still got the bonus. i kinda screwed up in the dark brotherhood well i did all the tasks in the brotherhood except one which is were you have to kill an argonian i think at a place called bog water i accept it but i didnt do it so there was another were lucint luchance ask me to go to this cave and my task was too kill all the members so i did well there was that mission i didnt complete and i killed ocheeva and guess i had to get the heart from the argonain but ocheeva is dead did anyone do this task?

I was told theres a way you can push them down the stairs @_O some of them stand at the top of the stairs. sneak up behind themwith no weapon equiped and punch them in the back. they will fall down and break their neck.

i talked to everyone got5 all the info.

then i went to the dark elf and sed go wait for richboy in his room. while she was goin upstairs i talked to old woman and sed ye ill work with u go down in da basement. i killed elf and oldy. then redguard went to get his armour. Bang! in the bak! then primo killed nord for me and sed "good were safe now" and WHAM i gave him it in the face! mission complete. :) might help anyone who needs help out

do it in that exact order if u want to use my advice :P

I think that it kind of ruins the quest if you just slaughter them as quickly as possible. I prefer to do it the way you are meant to do it, and listen to what they say as they are gradually killed off by... uhh... Primo...

Also you get a nice bonus for being an agent of terror if you make them suspect each other and try and kill each other. Lure them off one by one and then go talk to them all, better fun that way, unless you are the kind of person who is too stupid to understand plots and prefers to just smash everything.

I usually get people to kill each other... so I do almost nothing in this quest. Or I get them to attack me first in anger. Even if someone sees me kill him/her in defence, they have no clue of who the killer might be.

the best sword in the game is umbra!!! u get it from the daedric shrine of clavicus vile. its wieghtless, does alot of damage and enchanted with soul-trap

Goldbrand does more damage than Umbra.
