Go listen to your grandmammy's old albums (not just hear, but listen) and you'll know what music is supposed to sound like. Anything that came out of Motown is a classic and always will be. Motown set the standards with all of their artists. It should be against the law to re-record anything done by Motown (and Aretha Franklin) unless it's another Motown artist.

The Supremes were without a doubt the most successful and arguably the best female pop group ever with just one # 1 hit shy of the Beatles with 11. As for Diana Ross, I'll admit that sometimes she gets lazy on her vocals but she can still match any entertainer, performance-wise, without hollering and screaming all over the place. You youngins' don't know what real music is because you're used to all of this crack-baby-ass noise that passes for music these days. The old school was real music.

I agree, the crowd are quite lifeless. But this is the Nobel prize and the audience is notorious as being somewhat 'intellectual' hence the lack of any show of appreciation throughout the performance. She looks great!

Kurtsupreme....i have to agree that Diane doesn't sound the same, but who does - 45 years after the fact? In MY opinion, Diane should have sat down 15 years ago. Whatever the case...you need to put the same (if not more) effort into stopping Mary Wilson (and all other FAKE Supremes) from butchering Supremes songs! And BTW....those "fake" Supremes are more on key than the originals (though not as entertaining)!

@kurtsupreme You should hear Mary Wilson destroying those songs in her shows. Motown wanted to bring The Supremes back but Mary wanted to sing lead so Motown said no way. I'd rather hear Diana on her death bed singing these songs than raspy, no talent, hoarse throatted Mary Wilson - she destroyed The Supremes trying to become a star, instead she became a nobody LOL

@TheMotownManiac Mary's legendary significance (as is Diane's) was when she was a member of the legendary trio, THE SUPREMES. Neither Mary or Diane were as good as solo performers as they were when they were together with Flo and H-D-H in the early days of Motown. The bottm line is that THE SUPREMES was just a better act than Diane or Mary ever were as solo performers......I'm just being honest! At least Mary has never tried to make believe it was all about her....as Diane does every night!

You had to see what a crazy time we had on her concert in Arnhem (Holland) a couple of days ago! The roof was on fire! :) Miss Diana was great, the whole stadium was singing along with her!

I agree but in defense of Whitney she has said when she does show up and is nowhere near perfect people are so disappointed and then trash her. These artist are people. Having an off night before a concert crowd is one thing but having it played over and over again for the whole world to see can damage a whole career. everyone in the youtube universe knows i love diana. still, i'd like to see her put more focus and care on cultivating and developing herself as more than a icon if indeed she still wants the performing career. if other things are more important to her at this point in her life, i respect that. no question she looks great here , but the nobel concert is a mountaintop venue for any artist. i'd like to see her take better care of her voice, revamp her act and stop winging it.

Got a chance to see Ross on 12/7 last week. She started to have voice problems due to air/fan on stage. Perhaps, she did catch a cold during the performance and headed off to this show and hasn't recovered. She is not one to dissapoint and to cancel a show. She is a professional and will not jeapardize her name with promoters. Especially a show like this. Give the woman some credit oceanbound.
