Greatest rock band ever ! Grand Funk Railroad. Up to the LP We're an American Band, no one can compare. Farner was the heartbeat of this band, without Mark, there is no GFR
This piece of the rock is my favorite of all time! Timeless lyrics, riff n roll...it's got a good beat, and it's not easy to dance to. All those funky breaks, great stuff.
Love it, Love it, Love it..Ohhhh....yeah, Ohhh...Yeah!
Slide show is cool too! Shea Stadium on the back of the coin will live forever this way.
Is it just me or do are the RedHotChilliPeppers a modern day version of GrandFunk? There is definately a kinship of funk there, not only the fact that 2 of the guys from the Peppers are from Michigan and more than likely influenced by Grand Funk..but.the music is very similar, I could hear the Chilli Peppers doing a remake of this....
I am 20 everything and grand funk , zeppelin , deep purple , gentle giant , rush , yes , black sabath , HENDRIX , and many other are those who protect my ears and soul , from the actual sistem pop music.
You're Welcome! You have great taste in music for someone your age! I've posted 4 or 5 other Grand Funk tunes which I'm sure you'll enjoy as well as lots of other 70's rock which is the Pinnacle of Rock in my opinion!....Rick

Mel had it goin on...this song is one of the reasons I have a hard time comparing any other bass player to this guy except maybe Billy Sheehan.....

@CVAN687478 You got that right. I don't know where Mel learned to play the bass, but it wasn't anywhere on this planet.

I would classify this as Hard Rock. One of only a handful of 3 piece bands that sounded like a 4 pc!

If you take away any one of these 3 guys in these trio years it all falls apart,,,,,there was just one formula for this sound.

You couldn't have said it better. It is really sad they are all still playing, but not together.
