don't feel bad. you did an extremely responsible thing for your dog. Now that he is neutered not only will he not be contributing to the HORRIBLE pet overpopulation problem, but you have also ensured that he will never get testicular cancer (common in dogs), and you have drastically reduced his risk of prostatitis and prostate cancer. You have also ensured that he will not become hormonally territorial or aggressive. He will recover & u both will benefit.

When I had my dog neutered I couldnt stand him in the cone either, I took off the cone when ever I was with him and could watch him to make sure he left his stitches alone. Just a thought you can easily slip it off when you can watch him and on when you can't keep an eye on him. My dog was such a mess with the cone on knocking everything over so it was for the best.

When my baby girl was born and I took her in for her first shots she cried a cry I had never heard before - it was a cry of pain, whereas before I had only heard her cry when she was hungry or wanted attention. I broke down sobbing - I was completely unprepared for that. Baby #2 I was more prepared. They're not dogs, but it's a similar feeling. They get over it. You did good.

You don t have to leave this thing around clydes neck!! my dog got his balls removed and the doctor said that s just more stress for the dog....what i did i took a lil pair of unterwear for babies (as weird as this sounds) cut a whole in it for his tail and then secured it with a hairband at the back to make it fit better....that worked pretty good, and as long as your around to watch him it is REALLY not necessary for him to wear that! i feel so bad for him, i know how my dog was! :(

Oh man they shaved his leg? Wow, they didn't shave my lit' man's leg and he's suppppper furry! I think that would have made me super sad if they shaved his leg. Check out a 'comfy cone' if you don't like that plastic cone. It's a lot comfier for them and doesn't hurt when they're charging at your ankles.
