  • Wwonderful memories flood back of my childhood in Sydney when I first heard this incredible song. My dad loved it, played it and sang along with great pleasure...he's gone.

  • Interesting how this one song seems to represent an entire generation of Australian Men (in particular), you hear that opening Harmonica riff and you get instant rapport. Congratulations on writing a near-perfect Blues/Pop song, no easy feat. I just love this song.

  • This is the original version of the song recorded by Ernie Rose at Armstrongs studios. It was the original hit record. '

    I re-recorded it later with the more predominant slap back echo in the opening hand claps which became the dominant version of the song.

  • keep playing it...it's f****** great. I love the latest laid-back version also. The harp made the track. Loved it when it was first released, and still love it.

  • Harp, vox and lyrics are great...one sweet tune...when I think of Spectrum, it's this track that always comes to mind. It's now 2010, and this song still sounds great.
