In Sri Lanka's crisis, some 70,000 people were killed more than all of the fatalities during all of Israel's wars combined. The world is barely aware of (the crisis Sri Lanka & darfur etc..etc). There's a lot of cynicism and double-speak when it comes to jews and israel

The Europeans don't know Israel anymore. The tourists coming to Israel from Europe are mainly Jewish. The depth of ignorance in Europe is such that it creates misconceived ideas about Israel's aims and policy. Israelis know Europe better as many vacation there. We are close to Europe with respect to culture, history, religion, trade, commerce, and tourism. I think Israel has to invest every effort to try and change the European perception.

You can't blame the Arabs for attacking Israel in 1948 "instead of building Palestine into an independent Arab state." They were simply coming to the defense of an invaded country; why should the Palestinians have been OK with having their territory drastically reduced? The transfer of land from the Palestinians to Israeli settlers continued long after 1948. After 1967, Israel was supposed to return the land they took from Egypt and Jordan (according to a UN resolution and even the US govt).

Israel took away land/homes, the economic livelihood, and many lives from the Palestinians. Palestine has the right to fight. Israel should be denounced by everyone for committing these crimes but instead they are defended time and again. the land israel took was taken in 1948 after all the arabs in the area attacked israel (the UN decided the jews could live in a small part israel, the arabs decided to throw the jews into the ocean)in that war israel was much less powerfull but managed two protect itself.

As for the occupation in Gaza, israel evecuated from Gaza in 2005 and since then (also before) kasams have been falling on the the towns in range.
