I never quite understood why people who is obsessed with Twilight can be that, and people who dislikes Twilight can do that. The haters always try to convince the obsessers that Twilight suck, and the obsessers always try to convince the haters that Twilight is awsome.

Accept that it's a free world and that people can think whatever they want. I am speaking as a former obsesser, now a semi-hater.

I agree. Twilight is now only a guilty pleasure of mine, but all the publicity and the obsessive Twilighters kind of make me dislike the book now. And why can't everyone just get along? It's just a book, for god's sakes, so why can't they just agree to disagree? You don't have to state online why you hate the book specifically, or the author. She's written the book she wants to do it- you can't bash on her for that. Let's see you all try to write a best-seller, hmmm?

Not only did she write a best-seller, she raised three kids at the time. Honestly, thats not all that common. Although, I'll never quite believe the whole "I had a dream and wrote it down", and always like Rowlings "I sat on a train" better. And now I'm doing what I hate when others do; compare Meyer and Rowling (personally I think Rowling writes as a true master and Meyer is more of a mediocre writer).

This was a ridiculously long post (and quite unnecessary if I can say so myself).

I do it, too. However much I hate to do it. But the next J.K Rowling? Please. I don't think Meyer will ever be up in her league (she doesn't have the originality or creativity for it) Twilight is just 'the new' whilst Harry Potter will be cherished classics. And yes, I do think Rowling's 'on the train' is a credible explaination. And I write, too and I can relate to the very vivid picture Jo said she had. I've only had it once.

(And I quite enjoyed reading it, so it wasn't unnecessary)

To be honest, I've always felt that Meyer happened to stumble across a story that would catch the heart of millions of teenagers, but that it doesn't necessary make her a great writer, not even a good one. Ah well, I can't agree more!

And I write too actually. And yes, Rowling explanation is something you can very much relate too, whilst Meyers "dream"-version sounds very Martin Luther King-ish ("I had a dream").
