  • theres a n yngway malmsteen exsisting ,,so whats this guy doin playing like him!!! r4eally ,, no wonder hes playing in a dump of a bar, and w/o a record deal!!1 cus he loves to copy cool some one famouse !!!...lol

  • It is EASY to play with heart....easy..its all in the note selection..I picked up a BB King video years ago and easily learned every nuance and phrase...easy...this Bellas is God....these jealous idiots who cant play like this always beak off..especially older guys stuck in the 70s..pining away for a time of little talent

  • drums sound like shit

  • ridiculously talented player. i love how he is able to fly through the neck without using a ton of gain. impeccable technique. i'm just not sure i could sit through a whole concert of this tho.

  • AWESOME!!

  • @esphorizon u meen awesome cus he can play just like malmsteen,,,lol.. nothing original about this guy!!!??,. why do guitar players tryes to sound like some one alse dont get that!!!..

  • shredtastic

  • History that what makes a good civilizations.. keep the good ones and just ignored the bad ones...

  • malmsteen clone? theres nothing more progressive than bellas, that makes him better than yngwie, its 2010, malmsteen is history, nowadays virtuosism=progressive

  • to each guitarist his own. You can't say he's a malmsteen clone from listening to one song. A lot of his newer stuff is way different then malmsteen.

  • George Bellas rocks

  • dam...this guy wins hands down the "i was influenced the most by Ynwie contest" for once though i dont mind it becaue is so good and very very clean .....but dam all that technique should be directed to having some of your own identity ...he rips though

  • i think you need to listen a little closer and research both of these guys ALOT.the only thing bellas and malmsteen have in common is the style of music they play and thier love for fender guitars.other than that very little in common.I briefly played bass for George Bellas many years ago he uses completly differnt patterns and scales.Dont get me wrong i love malmsteen always be a fan of his as well.

  • you sais everything

  • thank you

  • Stop being fools m8's. Malmsteen was and is the ONE AND ONLY!! Bellas is so good but he is a clone of malmsteen. Look at Bellas style..it's Malmsteen's style!! Bellas has nothing invented in his style.. Its all Malmsten!!!

  • Shit, I love Malmsteen so why not the people who can also play that good? I can hear plenty of heart in this.

  • Another of Malmsteen's clones...but quite a genious one.

  • dude , u are the most awsome shredder out there...ive heard them all...i wish u could teach me....steve

  • omg again the heart thing, what the hell is wrong with you people with the heart thing??cant you appreciate his talent??this guy rapes all those untalented guitarist like slash who suppose to have heart, soul feelings emotions or whatever is just an excuse for the untalented guitarist who just play put bends all the way at their songs damn, appreciate his talent

  • Comment removed

  • @max14jackass Dude, slash has talent.

If you can't see that then I feel sorry for you!

  • @Chainsawmaniacguitar slash is crap...

  • @SAK47RAMANIAC In what sense? If you're judging a musician by technical ability alone then you're missing a massive part of the picture!

Slash is not the most technical guitarist, and he doesn't claim to be. What he does have is musical talent- learn to appreciate that, even if you don't like his style.

  • @Chainsawmaniacguitar you're right...Slash has talent...

  • @max14jackass yea right he has like no emotion compared to slash

  • @clevelandrocks1978 slash is nothing but a drug addict.if you want emotion go watch a chick flick or titanic.emotion??seriously??damn

  • Comment removed

  • @UnnaturalGR umm that drug addict is a hell of alot better then this noob, and yes normal people want emotion in there music fuckerface

  • @clevelandrocks1978 there's no point coming here and saying and saying these things. For you emotion is bending a note or playing just 3??maybe this is a different kind of expression of emotion.Try to play Bellas stuff im sure you wont be able to touch it drug addctict's stuff are so childish and ridiculous

  • well dthat drug addic has acomplished a hell of alot more then this dumbass

  • @guitardummy1978 just because he is more famous doesnt mean he is better or that he has accomplished more and im sure you cant even touch Bellas stuff and you know why?because you just dont have the spirit

  • @UnnaturalGR this is getting rediculous we all like who we like then lol

  • yes its me clevelandrocks1978 i can play this stuff i just don't like it, so yea i guess to each his own

  • @max14jackass it also proves people would rather hear slash and his feeling then this crap

  • @max14jackass his ability is amazing, but i think music should not be predominantly really fast, no classical pieces are anywhere near as speed orientated. I think thats because melodies are meant to be comprehendable and speedy parts should be an extension of melodies and be used to give a change in vibe, not be the vibe. please ignore im just thinking out load x)

  • @max14jackass He's great but boring. Gilmour can steal the show with 5 notes. Gilmour sounds like gilmour. Yngwie sounds like Yngwie. I like the tehnical ability to shred but cant help to think it's all that's going on. Music has many aspects that are unfortunately overlooked by concentrating on one or two while leaving the others out. Great player could be greater. A good example is Shawn Lane. R.I.P.

  • @ughh77 or gary moore another icon.

  • Yngwie has never even done an entire instrumental album other than with orch. or if you include the best of instrumentals.George routinely does.Stop comparing

  • Malmsteen farted and Bellas was born...

    Amazing skills though

  • Personally, I think he is a musical genius. He is a breaking new ground with his musical ideas.

  • New ground??? Malmsteen was doing this 25 years ago.

  • are you kidding, his phrasing and choice of scale use is distinct from malmsteens.

  • yeah ok...uh how?

  • In this particular vid, he isn't doing anything all that original, i'll admit. I think the reason for my initial comment was that I had just got his new cd, and their is some really original stuff on it. You should listen to it

  • dream theater like perhaps?

  • Ynwie broke that ground long time ago my friend.

  • I'm sick and tired of all these "Malmsteen clone" comments as well. Bellas is an innovator, pushing the boundaries of not only the neoclassical genre, but with Music in general with all the weird time signatures, exotic scales, and original ideas he employs in his tunes. Bellas is a true example of a modern day composer, pure and simple.

  • Ya, he's much more versatile than Malmsteen imo.

  • Damn Hot

  • Neoclassical metal is a style, to go and compare players to Malmsteen is an amateur statement,at best. There are so many people that "copy" other styles and there is no ridicule. It just so happens that Malmsteen is one of the core influences for the style. What about Rhoads,Uli Roth,Blackmore? Nobody accused them of copying each other. That is because they took influences and made actual music. Bellas is an example of that.

  • this dude is bad ass.CTROCK THE HIP HOP ROCK GUITAR ARTIST

  • Bellas rules !!

He isn't an another copy of Malmsteen !

Listen Turn of the millenium or his lastset Planetary Alignment !! there are stuff unlistened before.

Bellas play awesome rythm guitar parts !!

It's not like Yngwie ( same albums since '90era !!)

George Bellas is a new futuristic musician !!

  • great shit here. CTROCK THE HIP HOP ROCK GUITAR ARTIST

  • Γιωργαρε!

George is a kick ass player, take it or leave it.

  • we can't deny that Bellas is really a great guitar player but one thing i don't like about him is his Malmsteen copy cat tune

  • I cannot agree It is similaar but not the same , he s got different style

  • i rip off yngwie a little bit in my music but not nearly this bad. lets be honest this guy and joe stump should be ashamed of there selves

  • no one is better than yngwie ! out of all the guitar player i heard man joe stump is the most rip off yngwie !!

  • You want a rip of Malmsteen? Look for Katsu Ohta on Youtube.

  • LOL... I'm glad you said that. Now name a real guitarist for those Neo Classical worshippers!!

  • Michael chapdelaine, tommy emmanuel, chet atkins, jerry reed, buddy guy, mississippi john hurt, billy gibbons for example. When I listen to metal i want it to be badass like sepultura, slayer or meshuggah, not pretentious shampoo geek shred.

  • All of the guys you mention do one very important thing much better than ALL of the Neo Classical guitarists do- PLAY RHYTHM. Without rhythm, it's not a song. And all the metal bands you mentioned do that same VERY important thing. SERIOUS RHYTHM. This is why Neo Classical went out of favor in the USA in the 90's but is still worshiped in Europe and Japan. Even Joe Stump admits that he packs stadiums in Europe and Asia that he can't pack here.

  • Agree about rhythm, you have to have a groove. But I still think sales numbers have more to do with taste, Germany and Japan like cheese.

  • I agree with you on that. Outside the USA cheese is definitely loved more.

  • Oh ya? What about Norifumi Shima? LOL!!

  • man joe rip off yngwie way more than this guy !!!

  • he is george bellas i wish i could to NY to take lessons from him

  • what would you like to learn from George exactly?

  • Well, the guy is redundant like mentioned earlier, but he could sure teach you how to shred for starters.

  • Yeah, he could teach you a thing or two.

  • BLEHHH! killer man. just killer. i loved all those solos and stuff. i do understand what the dude below me is saying. he's not a copy of malmsteen, though most of the beginning has that classical harmonic minor stuff in it and he's got that stratty tone in somewhat of a resemblance to yngwie. but i mean, that's bellas. he's not a copy. but i would like to see some vids of george's melodies and stuff instead of melodic shred the whole time.

  • Malmsteen wannabe...

  • Be sure that he got all those skills from Yngwie... If he could be in front of Yngwie, he would surelly be holdsing some Yngwie's album from his own LP's collection, asking for some autographs...

  • yeah, people say stupid things like "he's MUCH better than Malmsteen" all the time. Yngwie's got things like vibrato, bends, intonation, phrasing, that even Bellas wishes he had. and Yngwie's tone is better.

    Bellas is still good though.

  • @LynchBlocSavage

Dick sizing went out with the 80's.

    Move with the times.

  • he's NOT better than malmsteen.

bellas is a redundant player, with only one good arpeggio, 'the turn of the millenium' and that's it.

  • Actually in a interview I read about george... he says Yngwie wasnt his main inspiration of how he plays, he thrives from classical composers, not yngwie... the only reason why you say he is a yngwie wannabe is becuase yngwie has already done this kind of neoclassical stuff before so its nothing new or special... not to say georges stuff isnt awseme but you guys know what I mean... George does take it to the next level tho I think...

  • yeah i know what you mean but on his "Turn of the Millenium" cd booklet he lists Yngwie as an inspiration.

  • Cool!!

  • "Next level"? What is the "next level"? I think Tony Macalpine took it to the next level, and he did it without growing long curly hair, wearing bracelets and rings, puffy shirts, and a Fender Strat with YJM and HS3 pickups along with a scalloped neck.

  • You cant forget Vinnie Moore... :D

  • Who could possibly forget Vinnie Moore. Thing is, he at least plays rhythm. Without rhythm, you have no song, hence the decline in popularity of Neo-Classical in the 90's in America. Ask Malmsteen or any of them. Even Joe Stump admits that he makes more money in Europe and Asia than America. Neo Classical Shred is still big there.

  • agreed

  • Indeed. Without rhythm there is no song. I give you that, Ninjaro. But tell me, is there a single Neo-Classical guitarist (popular or not) that you know who doesn't play rhythm?

  • Malmsteen has played rhthmn in a handful of songs and I think those are his best work. Nirumfumi Shima (I'm sure I misspelled that)plays some rhythmn. Since Paul Gilbert makes no effort to look or sound like Malmsteen, I don't consider him Neo Classical, but he plays rhythmn. If you have any vids of any Neo Classical guy actually playing a SONG with Rhythm, AND a solo, I'd love to see it.

  • I'll send you some links later.

Yeah, Norifumi Shima is mostly rhythm, but with an obligatory solo in each song... which is great for me, haha! His instrumentals also have quite alot of rhythm. You just have to listen to "Everlasting Nightmare".

  • Great!!Bellas is the Best!!!!!!!

  • george bellas is truly the master of speed picking. (speed picking, aka: sweep picking, economy picking, or as michael angelo batio called it, alternative picking. not to be confused with alternate picking.) got it, good!

  • @1:58, his "Turn of the Millenium" arpeggio progression. simply astounding. i love this concert.

  • Muy buen Guitarrista...!!! Igual que sus musicos que lo acompañan.

  • im better than this wanna be

  • you're better? you should have quit while you were ahead, bozojob!!!
