this really helped me chill out. i haven't had the chance to drum much these past few weeks and i was about to punch everything on sight because my calf muscles keep tightening up. thanks for the video!
actually they say that because some dumbass could sue them. secondly they are like a coach. on a side note this guy has absolutely no clue on how to properly stretch. do not bounce like this dude hold the stretch for about 10 sec. and slowly release
Well yeah but if you think about it, that's what it is like all around. Consider this, you go into McDonalds and get a cup of coffee and what do the cups always say? Carefull this is hot! I meen seriously don't people already no that when they get a cup of coffee it's going to be hot?
Pleasant guy. Very well thought out and practical advice. Kudos!
Beyond proper warm up, I've learned that drummers should focus on posture while (seated) around the kit, as well as determining the most efficient kit setup to maximize performance. Other factors include each individual's physical status, including range of motion, flexibility, body measurements or special needs . For starters, I have a "bad back" and my throne has a heavy duty back support.
Don't try to purchase this companies products on line. I recently attempted to purchase their rock DVD set and after they had my card / personal info they used it to to try to get purchase authorizations at other sites! Free drum lessons may be cool but internet fraud is not .
i prefer dynamic stretches prior to a session, and then static stretches after. I don't go overboard, and I don't stretch out my legs afterwards. I just quickly move my limbs to get them warmed up....that is the main point...warm up, not cool down. The kinds of stretches matter. Some of these are good, but everyone is different. Some drummers do not stretch, and some always do.
Nice tips. Although what I like to do is go around the venue and maybe chat with a few people. Maybe someone who works there or someone from an other band really helps. As you go around the venue during soundcheck, ocupy your mind with as many other things as posible. then playing won't seem like a mountain to climb. There's that or if you're in a different situation or thats not your cup of tea, Keep your mind focused on the gig at all times. Try to focus on you and nothing else. Whatever works
Amazing! I will be using these so much! I tend to just do some smaller easier beats for a bit, but I haven't ever put much throught into what I'd do at a gig. Thank you!!! <3
i tried all the warmups and it feels great! really! imma do this before i play the drums
