I love this song and Def Leppard all together. My mom and I are huge fan's, I know you are not sub post to have the same favorite band as your mother that's just weird. We love the band with Vivian and the old stuff with Steve may he R.I.P
this song is a classic, brings back memories of life back in the day, when people actually got together and hung out in malls and concerts etc, before facebook and cellphones came about and everyone became hermits.
To me Def Leppard was awesome with Steve. But with Vivian their just as good as they where back in Hysteria. Yeah their not the same, but their different in a good way.
let's c if steve clark died in early 1991 then mybest guess is that he wrote this music late 1989 to mid 1990 i could be wrong but this was a killer track
This song sounds like a cross between something from pyromania and hysteria. But I am guessing that was the point. Steve clark is an underappreciated genius. I think his playing was so unique, awkward and yet melodically beautiful.
Viv is a Super guitarist , brought in after Steve's untimely death... People forget that Vivian has been in a few GREAT Bands before Lep. Examples are Whitesnake and Best known as Dio's Lead guitarist. He is also one of the only Star guitarist that play Yamaha guitars.
drugs and alcohol will kill u cocaine is the devil's sugar and alcohol is just as bad wg=hen u want 2 quit u cant and GOD HELP THE ONE IN THAT SITUATION
it's a shame Steve Drank and drugged himself to death. He thought he wasn't that good. He was always thinking Phil was better. Watch the Movie. The man was a god. Every time I hear Boston's song, "shooting star" reminds me of Steve. He left before his time. I was privileged to see 6 Great Concerts and I seen them 2 years ago in Davenport Iowa. They Phil Colin did a tribute to Steve in one of his solos in the Pour some sugar song.. Great group. My #1 fav
@Jeepeezcreepeez u would think that being a musician u have no time for drugs and alcohol and in steve's case he was great musician and well he made certain decisions that cost him his life and he probably left laralaine(i think that was her name) with a broken heart anyway he was one of the greatest guitar gods of all time.
Adrenalize is their last really good in my opinion. Makes you really realize how big of a contribution Steve Clark made to the writing process with his unique riffs and parts. Campbell is a terrific guitarist but not all that original. Clarky really had the goods..
Although Steve Clark wrote half the riffs and music on this album, it was , in fact, Phil Collen who recorded ALL the guitar tracks for this album,. Phil and Steve had been demoing for the material on this album when Steve passed. Phil did an excellent job of playing his friend and colleague`s riffs and music.
Steve clark was the main reason I became a musician, I was too young to remember Def Leppard in the 80's early 90's, but seeing the old concert footage and seeing him, I just started learning guitar and I used to wear my guitar way too low down I was skinny and had long blonde hair. the first band I was in I used to imitate him. He is to me and always will be one of the greatest guitarist ever.
Viv is an amazing guitarist. I think as DL fans for so long, we grew up appreciating the sheer awesome talent that Steaming had. Anything less is not good enough. I will always miss Steve Clark but it doesn't stop me from being a huge Def Leppard fan. I saw them again this summer and it was like 1988 all over again. Rock on, guys!
Listen kids. The greatest thing about Def Leppard is that they always moved forward no matter what, always pushing their music further and further and with "Some" people laughing in their face, that's why they are Def Leppard and you are not.
I have Pyromania Hysteria and this album and i dont know why so many people hate it. Personally i think it sounds absolutely great. Has some lighter poppier songs its true but it is full of great tunes like this one. They tried to do something different and ithink they did very well. I fell in love with this album some time ago and i found myself playing it almost everytime.
I don't understand why people always say Lep is crap without Steve. The man's been dead for 20 years. It's time to move the fuck on. Vivian is a very accomplished guitarist. He's played with Dio, Whitesnake, and even Thin Lizzy. I don't get what's wrong with him.
@aerorocker95 I don't think they're crap with Vivian. Viv is a great guitarist. Of course, I think Steve was the best and I think people should be grateful the band chose to stick together instead of breaking up like so many bands did.
I grow up with this music the best bands ever they were the real rock bands gave rock n roll a true meaning and rock bands would really rock you todays music not as good as the 80s rock n roll explosion
Actually this album was a Def Lep. nightmare. Two great songs. This one and Tonight. THATS IT. The rest was pure disappointment and dorkyness. After the mind blowing Hysteria album we had to endure a string of albums that only loosely resembled Def .lep

@iplaybass00 yes I LOVE them. They are the only secular metal band that has more than 5 songs worth owning. All of the other metal bands that have that are christian, IMO.
@iplaybass00 LOL. It's ok. You are entitled to your opinion. Just in case you are interested, the Christian Metal Bands I like can be enjoyed by both Christians & Atheists alike; you should look up "Feed the Machine" by RED, "Back Burner" by August Burns Red, "Follow the Wolves" by Demon Hunter, & "Nothing Left" by As I lay Dying. Just a warning, they do scream a lot...
BTW, I forgot about Megadeth in my secular metal bands worth listening to. lol.
@Basshero93 totally fuck ya..im not too big on the guitar hero thing but i have played and it is fun...i say a 25 song game would be great and if it has gods of war with the intro solo the game would be the shit, women!
Def Leppard rocks. I listen them since i was a Kid and i remember listenning this album Adrenalized with my cousins. And now i´m 27 years old. :) I´m getting too old. But they still rocks \m/
@Basshero93 My 1st concert EVER, I saw them on the hysteria tour back in 1988 when i was 15... im sure glad as hell to see Rick Allen back playin with ONLY 1 arm & see the 1 and ONLY Steve Clark ripping the guitar all to pieces... Ive seen HUNDREDS of shows and till this day THIS concert was FVCKIN EPIC!!!
if they did make a GH game with def leppard all the kids now aday would be like.....WOW I LOVE THIS FUKING MUSIC!!!....kids now dont know a thing about real music, the game would prolly out due Green Day GH....it would prolly make half of them quit the game because they would not be able to keep up with rifes like Steves...

Seriously what the hell happened to the music industry? I was born in 92 and for me its all about the 80s rock n' roll. Music from today is the worst nightmare ever! I love all of this music I wish I would of lived back then haha I wouldn't be getting headaches everytime I turn on the radio. Classics never die.
I enjoyed reading your comment, i was born in 77 so i lived those wonderfull music years while i was growing up, now i see some few good music, but the general dont interest me a bit, so i feel like i live on those years, talking in music loving lol :)
@ROCKSTAR9509 Seriously man, I totally AGREE!!! I was also born in '92 and I wish the '80's bands were still around cuz their music is KICK ASS compared to anything u hear today
@ROCKSTAR9509 Dude omg same here I was born in 92 and that's exactly how I fell.All I listen to is 80s Rock n' roll and I can't stand nowaday's music.It's terrible
@ROCKSTAR9509 I was born in 84, and I understand what you mean man, but not ALL modern day rock music sucks, Shinedown (the best band today!) Rise Against, Three Days Grace, Nickelback, Papa Roach are all really good!
@Jamcad01 oh man, get ready to listen to a AWESOME band! Carried Away, Stranger Inside, Break and Fly From The Inside are just a few great songs from them, let me know what you think of them buddy. Ya I love Green Day!
@adamJcarter I enjoyed Stranger from the Inside. (Kind of sounds like Nickelback) Otherwise though it is a little dull for my tastes. It's still a good band though and you shouldn't take my opinion too seriously as I am not a fan of Alternative Rock.
A question for all of you Steve Clark fans. Is Adrenalize the last album Leppard put out that had songs on it that Steve had a hand in writing? This still sounds like classic 80s Leppard. So does I Wanna Touch You, and Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad The newer stuff Leppard plays is missing something.
@sexykitten0627 dont u fucking dare say they should make a pink floyd game! they would never sell out like that, and for one pink floyd isnt hard rock enough for a guitar hero and havent u heard guitar hero is dead
@Rorschachxx1985 It doesn't matter if Pink Floyd is heavy enough. There are other songs on Guitar Hero that shouldn't be on there... Pink Floyd has some of the best guitar sounds and Guitar Hero is not just about heavy metal etc... it is about good guitar playing and sounds. The reason why guitar hero is slightly dead is because they don't put out new shit. It is just a bunch of repeats and half of the songs on there I never heard of. That is why it died quicker than expected.
Why can't i find anything to download on bloody itunes. It's all shit covers :( This song is actually fab for working out! I remember this coming out!
@SummerAndLightningUS Steve Clark did have a hand in writing all the songs for 'Adrenalize' except for this song and "Let's get Rocked" (I checked the Wikipedia page for 'Adrenalize'). Phil Collen recorded all the guitar parts, and Vivian Campbell wasn't hired until the album was released.
they should have put this on the mirrorball album

Jamcad01 5 months ago
@Jamcad01 oh man, get ready to listen to a AWESOME band! Carried Away, Stranger Inside, Break and Fly From The Inside are just a few great songs from them, let me know what you think of them buddy. Ya I love Green Day!
adamJcarter 5 months ago

@Basshero93 They should also do a Pink Floyd Guitar Hero but they won't because Roger Waters is a dick.

@sexykitten0627 dont u fucking dare say they should make a pink floyd game! they would never sell out like that, and for one pink floyd isnt hard rock enough for a guitar hero and havent u heard guitar hero is dead
Rorschachxx1985 9 months ago
@Rorschachxx1985 It doesn't matter if Pink Floyd is heavy enough. There are other songs on Guitar Hero that shouldn't be on there... Pink Floyd has some of the best guitar sounds and Guitar Hero is not just about heavy metal etc... it is about good guitar playing and sounds. The reason why guitar hero is slightly dead is because they don't put out new shit. It is just a bunch of repeats and half of the songs on there I never heard of. That is why it died quicker than expected.

Awesome guitar playing in this song. I miss listening to this song instead of all the popular songs that I am getting sick of listening to.

can anyone tell me if steve clark helped write the music for this song? please dont respond unless you can tell me where You got Your info, thanks.

@Basshero93 I agree! I don't play Guitar Hero, but Steve Clark was my favorite of the band. They lost so much when he died.
