@yellowpaw895 Riikka Timonen. Wonderful singer, but for some reason or another she didn't fit well in the complex Värttinä chemistry and left after little less than two years.
Put this in YouTube search box for one of her solo works:
This is strikingly similar in style to folk music from our country Lithuania, and the language is similar to our 'fairy folk' speak. If you're interested in our language type in: mokinukes - mazyti mielas
Language does remind Kalevala's verses. This song is about Catherine who goes without a belt, which is why village folk begin to wonder what is wrong with her. Could it be that she's slept with some of the village boys, is that why she has no belt?
Does anyone know the name of the tall lady with dark hair?

The most amazing rhythm- and sound-textured candy my ears ever tasted!

The constant repetitions are irritating but overall a very intersting style of music.

This is insanely fast, I'm not sure how they even get the words out. It makes me smile though! : )

The way they lay out some of their lyrics kind of reminds me of Kalevala's verse.

Yea, finish can be sung very fast. I know people who talk and sing even faster. But I really can´t. Värttinä on niin paras. Värttinä rocks.
