i personally dont think its as much scary as it is fucking creepy ...feeling like youre being watched with emotionless eyes (just so you know ive never played condemned)but yeah its not scary pe say but it iws very disturbing to say the least next time i walk into the mall im going to the sports department buy a bat and break every mannequin i see living or non TAKE NO PRISONERS!!!!!!!

luckily when i first played in this level, i instinctively knew that mannequins were creepy and it was curious i only fought one or two enemies so far.

thus, i whacked the first one i saw with a pipe. and it died.

@Pestinha92 highly agreed. subtlety is what makes something scary on a creepy sense, and this game does both that and the surprise pop out scares at the same time. it mixes suspense perfectly with the inevitable fights, and it honestly just makes things terrifying. my first time through i was constantly checking every corner and room and never turning my back for more than a second. fear is all pop out scares, most of which are incredibly predictable, or gore, which is just disgusting. not scary

Mannequins are scary because they're unpredictable, you don't know if they'll grab you, blink, scream, move around or do anything horrifying. You get the faint feeling that they are alive, yet they show no sign of it. That's how they get you, and that's why I'll never work night shifts in a clothing warehouse.

Holy shit. I knew Condemned was freaky, but I never expected this. The beginning of the game, with the random addict attacks, and the tedium of it all made me stop playing. Before I figured out this was Condemned, I thought this could very well have been a FPS Silent Hill.

If the mannequin looking down at you thing is true, then the Condemned team truly has taken the rein from the SH team in the "genuine shit-your-pants not be able to sleep for nights kind of fright" department.
