ahahahh i just jerked off to a porno and this track was playing!!! nice way to learn about a good band. in the comments everybody was asking who the music was by and someone listed and here i am. they must be proud. effing schit though its a good track yo. shit burns deep memory paths the first few times listened to.
I remember seeing 65 for the first time and screaming "THATS THREADS!" at everyone around me, but apparently none of them understood why thats an amazing thing.
You could also tell all the northerners in the Birmingham Academy that night, cos they all Cheered when Harry Gration appeared just after the Mirimar Disaster set
Interesting that snippets of 'Threads' is used for the visuals, as it's Sheffield that bites it in the film.
Seeing this in Grade 8 (in class, teacher was a nut) in '84 gave me nightmares. First thing I thought of when I saw this, is "hey 65 is from Sheffield, good call".

Do they ever tour in the States?
zakalwe30 2 years ago
They did a sort of mini-tour in between their support dates with The Cure in 2008.
And they've supported a few bands in the US before.
I suspect you're more likely to catch them as a support rather than a headliner in the US.

Shit, I'd pay to see them wherever.

65 are revolutionary, but will never break into the mainstream without vocals. Oh well.
super7am 3 years ago
Why would they want to break into the mainstream? Being considered 'mainstream' is hardly an accomplishment...

This is progressive music, vocals are for rap and pop.

Who cares. They are great and everyone who doesn't realises that because there are no vocals isn't worthy of listening to them. :p

I have been to the Exeter Phoenix venue. It is a nice little place. The band seems to be very tight.
