this is a one of a kind instrument ,the music was composed for this specific guitar built in 1830,you could have a luthier custom build one for you but

it would cost 1000's

Yeah. 1830s, this guy picked one up right off the shelf, few hours after it was released. Great buy.

Re-read the description, the MUSIC has not been played since the 1830's, I'm sure the instrument is rare but it's most likely still made and the strings aren't much different then guitar strings I'm guessing.

To just think... Fernando Sor held that exact same instrument, and played the same piece.. Thats incredible to even think about. I wonder the difficulty in making one of those now, with all of the modern advances in instrument construction.

Someone in an earlier post said 22. You can see that the bottom and top have more then 6 strings. I think it's 6 in the middle and 8 on top and bottom.
