Can't wait. I love the music in this vid. Hope there's more like it in the game. It sounds like the music from the old ones. Metal is great, but I've been hoping for more of the old style splatterhouse music in the new game

It was actually in '09 Namco pulled it away from Bottlerocket. My bad. But still.. What a move by Namco.,. Wow. All rights should be going to Bottle rocket for the idea.

Actually, Namco created the Splatterhouse arcade in the 80's before the NES version. They then ported it to the Turbo GraFX 16 home console, and then released Splatterhouse 2 and 3 exclusively on Sega Genesis. Namco has always had the rights to the game, as it is their creation.

Namco hired Bottle Rocket externally to develop the re-make, it wasn't their idea. BR was pulled because Namco did not like the direction they were taking it in, it didn't have the feel of the old game.

It's also important to note that after BR died, Namco hired several of BR's staff to continue working on the game along with Namco's internal team.

As a fan of the original trilogy, in my opinion, BR was making the game look too cartoony. Namco's internal teams went back to the roots of Splatterhouse, that being the gore and graphic horror of the 80's era, and made the game feel more like it did back in the day: Raw, Visceral, and Dark...more....Fleshy/Organic, if you will.

Namco has no right to even make this game.. It wasn't even their idea.. Sure, they created the NES one, but there was a company by the name of Bottlerocket that had gotten rights to make this game and had a release date back of '07. Namco pulled a DICK move and TOOK IT AWAY from them and started making the game as an internal group.. This is now the results from some other company that Nacmo originally had another company allowed to make. Game looks sweet, not gonna lie, but screw namco, IMO..
