omg did you guys see that cyber man in black and white?omg it was like a mask and pipes attached forming a rectangle on the head.wow they have come along way!at frist was like...wthis that?then i was like....wait is that a?no it cant be!then was like OMG ITS A CYBERMAN! :O
David Tennant narrating this is no coincidence. He would've known even by this point that he was taking over. The news of Eccleston's departure leaked within a week of this programme, between Eps 1 and 2. They were trying to keep it under wraps but that didn't work, sadly. Tennant was brought on board as soon as they knew Eccleston was leaving.
i love how they all say that the guy who played the 9th Doctor is the one everyone will remember when it is now obviously David. But hey how were they supposed to know......... unless they had a TARDIS (lame joke ;0).
@Astronomer16 to each their own, really. i like the doctors pretty much the same based on their performances. i think it's nice seeing how each doctor's personality molds itself and their reactions to different situations. i hate it when people call themselves "fans" but stop because their doctor is no longer on. they can't really call themselves doctor who fans because their favorite is gone. not that i'm saying that about anyone particular. the point of the show is to change- to evolve
@Astronomer16 While he is definitely my favorite so far, (I've only seen the new stuff), I wouldn't go so far as to say that he's the best ever. Best of this generation of Doctor Who? Probably. All time? I wouldn't go that far. Besides, they're all great, they just bring something different to the table. Chris was more grounded and a bit off the wall, David was totally off the wall, hyper, manic, and boyish, and Matt is more awkward and Aspergian.
"he has literally beatles haircut!" haha, that was exactly what i was thinking, when first time watching Troughton's Doctor... He always knows what's best at the time!
the New Series is Doctor Who for the post millenium. BUT unlike alot of other franchises which have been updated, remade, rebooted or revived for the millenium I genuinly think Dr |Who has done i themost successfully, yes even more than Battlestar Galactica, c'mon 1 is is a VERY good show, the other is an exremly good show which is is now part of Briain's collective DNA. f we ever sent up a ataellite it shold have a copy of the Ark in Space in it
-Thanks a bajillion for this!!! Here in America I miss the opportunity to see these very often and to actually be able to watch the confiudentials, sigh, its fantastic. absolutely fantastic.
The history of Dr Who, not very chronological but still good.
I love the series especially the ones starting 2005 until now. No. 9 is the first one I saw (I live in Belgium that is the first series) and of course Mr. 10nant is great too. I love the interior of that Tardis the most. It's beautiful, I hope they don't change much for 11. Hopefully the Doctor is not getting younger than him. It's not just a kidsshow, it's actually more for grownups. Kids can't understand everything of it, do they.
Well in Part One they talk about how filming on the first series had already finished. And he had already filmed the regeneration scene. So yeah, I'm fairly certain he knew.
i am so grateful that russel decided to return it now , and im grateful that no one else did.And now its even better that Steven Moffat is taking over because NOW he is going to restore everything completely ^_^

I am loving the music they used for each Doctor, especially The Who, and Adam Ant, S'Express, Oh God that fantastic shot of the Small Faces!

I'm definitely marathoning series 1 now. I miss Nine so much! (And it's way ironic that DT is narrating.)
gigo518 2 years ago 3
Its not ironic its foreshadowing because David knew he was going to be Doctor Who before the first season aired.
