I manage a Popeye's restaurant that participated, I think they should have honored it. but understand the reason why, it is a payday special to say thank you to the local community and it is basically giving away the chicken at cost. so really no money is made. Right or wrong, it was an economic decision that was made by the franchise. And if any of those ppl complaining had been the owners, they probably wouldn't have participated themselves. they would have lost probably 6-8 thousand dollars.

Also, when you're addressing someone, you place a comma after the clause and before the address.
