  • a bodybuilder or a weight lifter couldnt do almost any of the gymnastics exercises. They are not flexible, big, and slow. But a gymnast can easily lift heavy weights.

  • I c Kyle kueker but I mite b wrong

  • @Rylee304 No Kyles in the video.

  • really fucking imressive.

  • That's so awsome!! I hope to become a strong gymnasts like that but I have not slot of sholder flexiblty :((( more leg strenth tho :)

  • hi.i'm 16 years old,1.77m and 67kg.What do you think i must eat and how much training must i do to improve.I want to improve my number of pushups(now 40-45),and get to a planche.I know it will take like 1 or even 2 years, but i just want to know the exact training.I can do a l-sit for 15 second, but i strugle because i don't have flexibility. How can i imrove my flexibility.Pls give me some tips(sets,reps,.....)

  • @paynehunter I don't think I can answer all of that in 500 characters. I suggest you check out the forum on the gymnasticbodies website.

  • This is so fucking good.

  • Hey, are you from sweden? I am definitley interested in what you do, what's your training schedule? What do you practice and when?

  • @TheMrporkchop11 Nope, I'm from Texas. Usually I train for gymnastics 2 to 3 hours on 4 or 5 days of the week. Mostly working skills and routines, but I try to get in some strength work in the last hour or so.

  • is it possible to learn those things like the handstand without training in a gym and eat normally? if yes, what exercices work best and how manny times you need to do it?

  • @BlackAbbysV2 Certainly. If you want to learn a handstand, practice doing them up against a wall or on a soft surface to start with. I'm not sure there's a good way to learn them other than just doing them. Some people learn to balance it quickly while others struggle for a long time. Good shoulder flexibility helps.

  • @DrAlexisOlson I try handstand quite alot and its getting better and better, i think i'll just do that some more and try to train my abs and arms too. Thank you.

  • Which muscles does it require to do that handstand on those parallel bars?

  • fuck that. fuck that. im going to become a gymnast.

  • can us girls do this?

  • @skylarlynn8 Girls can do some of the stuff in the video (like press handstands), but not things like crosses or one arm pull ups.

  • omg

  • Damnn:)

  • 200-300g of protein per day. how do you manage to eat so much and what type do you eat?

  • @JLBird1993 I eat a lot of food. Around 4000-4500 Calories on the days I work out, consisting of plenty of meat, eggs, and dairy and trying to avoid too much sugar and bad carbs. PM me if you want more detailed specifics.

  • HOT ; )

  • OMG

  • Hey, do you need like eat a lots of protein to get that strength? I need an answer please

  • @TCKikeeElectro It'll help, probably. I generally eat between 200g and 300g of protein per day.

  • do you guys watch what you eat to get like that?

  • @MelonPopp Some of us eat more carefully than others, but none of us are extremely strict.

  • wow

  • omg. that is so beast. ok so i want to start having this type of strength and conditioning. Although i have no idea how or where to start. I mean how many reps of what exercise should i do? I dont want to go to a gym or anything like that if i could do it at home or at a park.

  • As a gymnast you are right we are the strongest athletes, not weight lifters

  • umm...0__0

  • Love the planche push-ups on the parallel bars, and the human flag at 1:32!

  • Gymnastics is the hardest and best sport in the world!

  • Beasts! Go Gymnastics screw weights gymnastic is the way to bulk up ;)

  • what level is he ?! wow cool !

  • you are surely very powerful

but i dont think gymnasts are the strongest

the strongest are the weight lifters that lift 250kg for example

  • @Angelbikost Depends how you define strongest. A weight lifter can't do most of the stuff shown here and a gymnast can't quite lift as much on a bar as a weight lifter can. For strength moves where you only lift your own body, gymnasts are the strongest.

  • @DrAlexisOlson yes thats what i mean

of course gymnasts are the strongest in lifting their body

    keep on training man:)

  • @Angelbikost Yeah sure weight lifters are stronger than gymnasts. But pound for pound gymnasts are the strongest athletes in the world.

  • YEAH IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY 1000 DOLLARS A DAY FOR TRAINING SURE GO AHEAD

  • Funny, I just got the book building the gymnastic body a little over a month ago and tried some of the core work. I can do about 300 sets of crunches total and be fine and I am in pretty good shape. I tried one L sit on the arms of a chair and I had to bend my knees after about 5 seconds. I guess that goes to show you really don't know how strong you are until you try these killer workouts. I can now do an L sit and starting to bring it past 90 degrees. Hooray for imporvement. infinity to go

  • NICE!!

  • Yeah Ronnie Coleman would find a lot of these exercises challenging because he's so heavy.

  • :22 hump/rape

  • That's just amazing :D

  • There's strong

    Then there's army strong

    Then there's gymnastics strong

  • @imafreakinninja12 Nice! I'll have to remember that.

  • have you guys ever been in a fight? can you guys mutilate someone with that strength?

  • Comment removed

  • you know they have probrably been doing this for like 6 years

  • wow nice vid :D may i ask how you trained for the one arm chin up?

  • Very nice, you are def strong, i would be curious to see what Supersaiyan requirement you can complete.

Check my video you'll see what i'm talking about, it might interest you, SS3 or even SS4 for you.

    let me know!

  • God damn. Some of these are just not right.

  • superman hides from these guys!

  • dude i wanna do a 1 hand pull-up SOOO BAD!!! i can do most other bodyweight stuff

  • what is this 0:20 exercise??

  • @TheisKlinzingNielsen Leg extension :p It's probably got another name, since a bodyweight hamstring curl is called the harop curl, but I don't know about it.

  • I have been weight lifting for a few years (I'm not huge but have a 'natural' toned physique) and I would very much like to start calisthenics to be able to do some of this stuff! Where would you recommend I start? Any good sites out there? I see a lot of bodybuilding sites but not that many popular gymnast oriented sites.

  • @86mhassani I highly recommend checking out gymnasticbodies . com. They have a great forum and post workouts of the day about four times per week.

  • @DrAlexisOlson Excellent, thanks very much.

  • @DrAlexisOlson i always try to imagine how it would feel (for me) to do those exercises, man you would not believe how much my body hurts from watching this vid O_O

  • @86mhassani Plus, you can actually get towards these skills with weights. Haha.

  • @86mhassani

Try beastskills by Jim Bathurst as well. He has great stuff.

  • @86mhassani

Try beastskills by Jim Bathurst. Good stuff.

  • These guys are strong!

  • Nice video, great strength! btw how tall are you, and when did u start training?

  • i cant do 0.34 maybe i dont have enough leg room (im not a gymnast)

  • Gymnasts have amazing core, stability and balance strengths, it's quite incredible. Great video

  • they are strong yes. But honestly I don't get why gymnast's usually are just slightly toned for being so strong and not super shredded like a nfl wr or rb who rarely do calistenics at this level.

  • @markkerr101 Gymnasts tend to be pretty ripped (have you seen Olympic rings gymnasts?), but are rarely bulky like a bodybuilder. The ideal physique for a gymnast is a maximal strength to weight ratio, so huge (heavy) muscles are actually a disadvantage.

  • @DrAlexisOlson gymnasts dont look so shredded, because they aren't supposed to be, they just have amazing core strength

  • @yankees4595 They have amazing all round strength. Doing 5x single arm pullups doesn't use your core.

  • Thats just the camera.

  • They are buff ass hell! Just that most of them dont juice. Its a clean competative sport remember. But i bet still a few of the do have you seen yuri van gelder?

  • @saltfan2 lol ur joking right.. a vast majority of olympic athletes are on the juice, sorry to burst your bubble..

  • @MAVsince1991 If that is so. Name one gymnast who were busted????

  • @saltfan2 i said a vast majority of olympic athletes, i didn't say steroids, but i'm sure i could dig up something - the problem with uneducated people like yourself when it comes to drugs and sports, you tend to put steroids on a pedestool in its own boat like its some magic potion - it's with the rest of them.. drugs have been in sports since the 50s and will continue to get worse.. i suggest you watch the documentary bigger stronger faster

  • @saltfan2 btw, i should have been more specific - for a gymnast to use anabolics, thered be wayyy more drawbacks than benefits, they require the highest strength to weight ratio than any other athlete in the world, steroids would ruin this.. but in terms of horror stories, gymnastics probably has to be one of the worst.. covering up drugs is just too easy, look at marion jones who was on EPO, THG, HGH and slin since 99 and NEVER tested positive after hundreds of so called 'tests'

  • is it true that gymnasts do bench presses and squats and deadlifts 3 times their weight?? just a rumour i heard not sure if its truu...sounds insane but believable after some of the stuff you guys are doin in the vid

    keep it up

    peace

  • @djblue2 That's probably a bit of an exaggeration for most gymnasts, but some may be able to. It's hard to say though since gymnasts rarely train with barbells.

  • @DrAlexisOlson oo true that....quick question do you think its a bit late for someone thats 18 to start like acrobatics and that....i did used to do martial arts a long time ago...still have a lil bit of the flexibility..im thinkin ill regain it once i start workin on my flexibility again (muscle memory) but is it a smart idea to start now?? or is it too late

  • @djblue2 18 is certainly not too late to start unless you want to be in the Olympics or something. It's never too late to start really and 18 isn't very old at all.

  • great exercices, great music (which is ??) = great video !

  • I have utmost respect for these dudes but man, 0:21, that might be the funniest thing i've seen in such a long time

  • This is all really amazing stuff. But I couldn't help but think at 0:50 "that's not a great spot to be in."

  • awesome!! i might start doing Gymnastics as well, its realy looking great!

  • Great work! *****

  • I miss the strength benefits from gymnastics..

I lost all my toned muscle and strength..

    Now I'm just a diver/bboy :l

  • Great vid guys....very impressive for sure.

    5 stars.

  • holy shit -- this is obscene guys! I think I may as well give up training right now! Keep training hard fellow bodyweight and planche comrades!

  • Don't give up! This should be inspiring, not discouraging.

  • the strength of the athletes is amazing

im interested in height and bodyweight of the athletes

  • I'm about 6' and 180 lbs. The guy doing the one arm chin ups (and a bunch of other stuff) is 5' 11" and around 160 lbs. I'm not sure exactly the size of the others, but they are a bit smaller.

  • I'm considering making a second strength video. Let me know if you have some cool ideas for strength moves to include.

Some things I want to include are cross pull outs, front lever pull ups, and maybe some 90 degree push ups.

  • @DrAlexisOlson how about some side crunches while in the flag position, or toe touch with both hands over the bar at the top of pullups, L sit walks, pistols on top of the paralel bars, some germans or stuff like that, airflares(i'm a bit into bboy stuff), peace!

  • @alacranmontoya Great suggestions!

  • Loved this Vid!! Great to watch before training. Inspiring stuff guys

  • wow this is great stuff guys...keep it up!.....inspirational !.....I cant do any better than a cross pullout.....well..... I'll just have to keep workin! I could do with being about 15 years younger too!...rock n roll!!!

  • Thanks. I totally forgot to put some cross pullouts in this video. Maybe in a sequel.

  • This is most people's goals in one video.

  • This is freaking ridiculous! Im currently working on a straddle planche and OAPU but im still months (or mebe a year) away!

  • ...

    5/5 ...

    ....

    please don't kill me

  • I am thoroughly inspired. Ha, this is incredible. It's like, the things you consider easy in this video are the hardest things i can do =O

  • This is ridiculous!! I've got my muscle up now btw :)

  • w00t =P

  • Nice. Have you tried an L muscle up?

  • Nah, I struggle with L chins and you can forget about L dips lol. My normal muscle up is far from clean currently anyway, I only got it recently; theres a lot of improvement to be made.

  • Wow, you sir are a tank!

Amazing control on those planche presses
