  • It's wonderful to see these dancers, especially a youthful Bobby Blankshine. What a treasure he was--such flair and technique, and that strange, beautiful, open face. He became quite a marvelous teacher, and died much too soon. Love you Bobby, and I hope Qbendanny is right, and you are dancing with the greats, and keeping everyone amused in between.

  • Wow. Robert Joffrey was actually half-Afghan lol.

finally we have a person that isn't famous

    for the wrong reasons.

  • who choreographed this mess?

  • @syslj42 This is far from a mess. Although it's not my favorite of Robert Joffrey's pieces, it's an example of how he choreographed particularly for the dancers he had at the time. It's also quite likely that this piece had to be adjusted somewhat for television.

  • Luis, Your "Fanfarita" and Torch Bearer in "OLYMPICS" will never be forgotten. Gracias. Bobby, you were so ahead of your time, I know you and Pavlova are having fun dancing together.

  • @Qbendanny DANNY REMEMBERING THE VERY FAR TIME OF HIS YOUTH

  • @pediatrapaola - The past is always in the present.

  • @Qbendanny always dear friend l know it.

  • the redhead is my sister Ivy Clear

  • @vorpalbunneh My daughter takes classes from Ivy! Is this really her? The dancers have never gotten to see her dancing so my daughter is very excited to see this!

  • The soloists are Robert Blankshine and Luis Fuente.

  • Vivaldi and Joffrey. What a beautiful combination.
