I'm not religious and Skillet is my absolute favourite band. They have amazing music and their songs (in my opinion) are for the listeners to interpret. They may or may not be religious, but to me, their songs are amazing and we should just appreciate the fact that they make such good music. Doesn't matter if you are religious or not, its just a song/some songs. Jeez.

Also, take into account that in the middle ages Christianity wasn't really seen as a religion, just as a way to organise your kingdom and gain more control over the people.

Every so often though, some people will want me to say no, the only thing I want to them to leave with is that this is all about Jesus. But then I always tell people that it is very good for our shows to be legitimately cool and that it is very important from other Christians' perspectives.

@shinayakiAngel It is a Christain band, if fact maybe you should do some research. They are a Christain rock band. If you listen to the lyrics you could understand that it is about Jesus. Skillet was formed in 1996 declaring that they are a Christain Rock band.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Song and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And, remember, I am with you always, to the very end of the age." If we don't make disciples (Christians), then we're not doing our job. It's what our creator told us to do. What more convincing do we need?

@theflamingmonkeyking You should stop telling (forcing) people to believe in god because forcing them is the reason people in the first place chose not to believe because seriously who wants to be forced in to something if they don't want to and i'm pretty sure other Skillet Fans and Lovers (whether or not they believe in this so called god) are sick of these comments too! In other words don't blame someone else for what you believe in ,cause i sure don't. Fair enough?No one wants to offend you hon ,but I should be able to talk about God without you blowing a gasket. With all the swearing and lude comments ,christian comments are the least of your concerns.

@aianime07 Out of personal experience with my parents trying 2 force me in 2 believing in god (Because they believe) I can get a little frustrated at times because I'm sick of it.
I chose not 2 because there is no proof of existence.
I totally respect that you believe but I don't believe and my parents are forcing me to!
I understand Skillet is a christian band and I think most of their songs are about god (Maybe all of them) but for others like me, their songs are about other things.

yeah i agree with the songs meaning different things to different people christian band or the words to some of there songs help for certain choices etc.

They wont be around forever and just as their pushing you to believe in God annoys you ,your refusal to even consider the possibility hurts them too. God said that those who seek Him will find Him .For your own reasons you don't believe and that is definately your choice. Just don't tell a christain there is no proof cause that argument is proven wrong every time you go outside.

@skelitonking117 That was in the middle ages... quite a big difference compared to now. I'm not a Christian, don't have any religion. Also, take into account that in the middle ages Christianity wasn't really seen as a religion, just as a way to organise your kingdom and gain more control over the people.

Every so often though, some people will want me to say no, the only thing I want to them to leave with is that this is all about Jesus. But then I always tell people that it is very good for our shows to be legitimately cool and that it is very important from other Christians' perspectives.

@shinayakiAngel It is a Christain band, if fact maybe you should do some research. They are a Christain rock band. If you listen to the lyrics you could understand that it is about Jesus. Skillet was formed in 1996 declaring that they are a Christain Rock band.
