To be quite honest, I do enjoy this channel. BUT, I think true talent lies in being able to make clothes for a real woman, not a skinny stick-insect. She would look great in a hessian sack, but there is no bust allowance, no proper hemming or lining and quite frankly, 98% of the female population would look terrible in it.
Well I can't personally pull off a lot of the stuff she makes because I'm very busty so the stretch cloths don't work, but I do love her ideas. And I love how the videos are very short and still completely understandable and clear. Great work!

I've actually made a few of her things, and they turned out very well. Something that you could to do help in making one of these is to take accurate measurements of your bust, waist, and hips for a better fit. It never hurts to measure, but some people simply don't have to.

I have used so many of her videos to make things for myself and for my 2 year old daughter. she loves her Lisa Simpson costume i made using the tinkerbell dress idea. I also made shoes for the outfit from watching her shoe videos. she's just gets stretchy fabric so when she draws the random line, it fits her body. it's really genius. look on ebay and estate sales for by the lb fabric.

@HarlowVinTaylor for example: measure your bust line, waist, hips, and the lenght between each. Then take the measurements from the bust, waist,and hip in half and transfer them to the fabric and transfer the full lengh. make dots to mark the measurements then just conect the dots. Try this :) its easier

Wow! That was pretty good! I was kind of skeptical when I saw you draw the outline, but the final product turned out pretty good! But I'm not sure if I'll be able to draw a shape like you did... I love your videos but don't think that this would work for most girls with curvy shapes. It's difficult to free hand a pattern to start off, and to know exactly the amount of length needed for straps etc. I'd like to give it a try but am afraid I'd bomb it pretty good. You make it look oh so easy!
Ever heard of the word "dart"? Obviously not, if you are to make an anything without darts, at least make it on the bias... but this works for girls with no chest, I guess.
@carinobonito I have a large chest, and I would just give myself extra space at the top and sew a line of elastic under my bust. This isn't meant to be super technical, it's an easy DIY for people that don't really know how to sew.
It is called "Do It Yourself" not "I spent 15k for 3 years to have this piece of paper and now you pay me 30 dolalrs!" just to sit there and learn basically the same thing. Nice work Gianny, keep it up, you look great in your custom work too =)
There are excellent sewing videos on YouTube but it's confusing for beginners to know which ones are worth learning from. Unlearning poor technique is no fun.
You think that my criticism is bad? I don't agree. If I was new to sewing I'd certainly want to know the opinions of experienced seamstresses before spending my valuable time and money trying out one of these creations.
I like GiannyL's ideas and energy - but her poor technique is holding her back.

OK for this fabric you eighter have to do two straight seams on the edges about one cm apart of do a zigzag stitch and have to iron it .

There are excellent sewing videos on YouTube but it's confusing for beginners to know which ones are worth learning from. Unlearning poor technique is no fun.
You think that my criticism is bad? I don't agree. If I was new to sewing I'd certainly want to know the opinions of experienced seamstresses before spending my valuable time and money trying out one of these creations.
I like GiannyL's ideas and energy - but her poor technique is holding her back.

hello its called do it yourself. its not supposed to be hella good. its suppossed to be easy for people who dont have like 3 months to make something, its for people who have 1-3 hours. wow its not that bad of a technique, they teach this technique in highschool
